Recent remodel, the neighborhood has not caught up.
No battery in smoke alarm cover hanging open Carpet airbase coming off wall. This am a large roach and a medium size Roach greeted me in bathroom glad I turned lights on
Checking in the front desk staff was hacking up a lung, parking lot was too small. when we got in the hallway it just looked dirty and smelled like the carpet was wet. It got worse when we walked in the room the smell was horrible the bathroom shower had rust stains in it. I will never use them again anywhere.
Did not notify me of remodeling going on on my floor. Also did not tell me Internet was not working. These are the reasons I left my house and had to be inconvenienced at the hotel. I was told they were not able to refund me.

It was my fiance's birthday & we spent the day at Kemah. I had an early flight from Hobby the next day & I spent a whole Saturday on the web trying to find a hotel with a jacuzzi suite for that night. The Staff was courteous, and the hotel's location & amenities were sufficient for the overnight trip. My only gripe was the smell. Both the room & the hotel smelled like it had just been remodeled, which took some away from the specialness of the trip. I hope the hotel gets aired out for future guests
This place is in need of a good fix-it person! The bathroom vents are loud! The ceiling fans are too high to adjust the speed. The AC/Heater units are loud also but not as bad as the vents. The bathroom chaulking is moldy, the floor tiles broken, the tiolet in one bathroom rocked. The shower plumbing in another bathroom rattled behind the shower wall...the place needs fixing! This was definately not up to the usual Holiday Inn Express standards we have experienced recently. We'll be finding another place to stay for our next visit to the Houston area.
At 11 pm we had to change rooms because our electricty went out. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. Not the best place that I've stayed, but not the worse either.

We arrived at night. Terrible location. Afraid to leave anything of value in the car. The night attendant had bungie cords wrapped around the door because the front door lock had been broken. The room itself was dated and the lock looked like it had been broken off and then replaced. Would not stay here again!!
Staff was nice but the upkeep on the outside was poor and the interior halls had a bad odor. It was in a very bad part of town.
