This property was so fun and staff was very informative. However there is no “close” parking. And if you choose to use the close parking it is $85 a night. They also don’t tell you, they have 6 hotels in the Hilton village and it’s up to you to find them.

Poorly run hotel, awful service, overworked staff

We are shocked and appalled by how poor the service was at the Hilton after paying over $1,000 per night. The number of staff and amenities were not enough for the amount of guests staying at the hotel. We felt bad for the staff who were running off their feet. There seems to be serious management issues or management is too cheap to staff the hotel appropriately. Both check-in and check-out had long chaotic lines, with only 3 of 6 check-in desks open. The pool/beach towel kiosks were only staffed until around 6pm, despite the pools being open to 10pm (so you couldn’t get towels in the evening). We booked a large multi-bedroom multi-bathroom suite for 6 guests but only had enough towels, linens, and pillows for 4 guests, despite 6 guests on the reservation. I could go on about how poorly run the hotel was, but I am running getting close to the character limit for the my review. Not what we expected for the price.

Mostly, we were annoyed by the time share staff that were very inappropriate. They overinflated the tour prices to convince us to take advantage of a discount if we have a demonstration for the”time share” presentation. Otherwise, the location of the hotel was good but it is a bit noisy.

The room we had was beautiful and the view was amazing of both the city and ocean. There is no sign on how to get to the front desk to check in. The parking idea is dumb. If you’re using valet parking they should pick you up and drop you off at the front desk not at the parking garage. That is NOT valet parking. We paid a lot for parking and paid a lot to stay there in a very expensive room. There should be a discount or better service for that!!! The daily cleaning could have been better. The map you gave us was not a very good map. Not enough details. It would have been nice to have something in our room to telling us what restaurant and activities were available for your guest in the area.

After arriving from a very long travel day, our son had a medical emergency in one of the onsite restaurants just hours after check in, the staff at the establishment were clearly trained, acted fast, and with grace and professionalism. When we returned to our hotel room the next day we were graced with a get well gift for our kiddo full of fun activities for him to do while he recovered fully accompanied by a hand written note from hotel leadership. Class act! I would recommend this stay to anyone I know based on this act of kindness alone!

We liked the Grand Islander apartment - it was spacious, new and fairly clean. Service at front desk was decent, and housekeeping was also good. However, when we arrived with a lot of luggage there was no help offer from the bell desk. Also, service at the towel collection at Paradise Pool and Super Pool lacked any smiles. It would have also been nicer if the pools were a bit warmer.

Although it was busy the staff were great to deal with. The kids loved the pools and watching the ducklings in the ponds. Parking was very expensive but that’s expected in Waikīkī
