We enjoyed our stay here at this Island Colony studio managed by Marbella Lane. The studio is on the 9th floor. The Marbella Lane staff is always responsive and helpful. Thank you for accommodating all our requests. Check in and check out was a quick and easy. As of the date of this review (July 2025) the overnight parking fee is 45/day. In addition to the amenities listed, the studio came equipped with two beach chairs, beach umbrella, snorkel gear for two, a couple soft coolers, and a boogie board. The location is within walking distance to everything on Kuhio Ave and Kalakaua Ave. We will be back!

Please note, the pictures are very nice but they're NOT reflective of the condition of the unit today. The furniture is worn & old. Upon entering the unit there is a musty smell. The TV remote turn the tv on & off but not anything else! Unfortunately, after seeing dead ROACHES on the floor, we should've realized there were more to come & they did!! The 1st LIVE ROACH was in with the SILVERWARE!! The leasing host was responsive on the VRBO app but did nothing to assist us; meanwhile, we spent our evening, overnight & morning looking for another location & stayed on "ROACH Alert." Upon leaving, another ROACH ran by us to remind us we were making the right decision to leave! The owner, of this unit, should be ashamed of themselves; no one should pay money to stay there. Before the ROACHES, I was trying to get past the dingey bedspread, the dirty floor & blanket covering a sofa that should have seen the trash a long time ago. Matter of fact, I felt more comfortable sitting out on the balcony especially after seeing the ROACHES. We forced ourselves to sleep there - our first night in Hawaii but slept with our clothes on!! I refused to open my suitcase or backpack for fear of the ROACHES potentially getting in. I requsted a refund of which they said they would calculate.. calculate what? I shouldn't pay them to live with ROACHES! I've yet to get confirmation on the amount of the refund. The mgmt company should get paid by the owner for dealing with this- Not Me!
