Situated on 5 acres this newly renovated self-contained 2 bedroom Apartment has all modern facilities build in for comfortable living. It is part of a large family home but if fully separated with your own front and rear entries. Also an abundance of parking. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, Bedroom 2 has another king bed that can be split into 2 single beds (see photo). Just let us know your choice of configuration when booking. Each bedroom has its own remote controlled TV and touch lamps next to the beds. We are located less than 12klm from central Hobart. Our Apartment offers a peaceful place to stay in a bush environment 110m above sea level, close to nature with views of the Derwent River. A large green lawn at the rear of our property to take in the peacefulness and surroundings. My wife and co-host Vonnie likes to spoil our visitors so on your arrival you will find some free items in the unit for you. As a welcoming gesture we provide interstate and international guests with a free bottle of Tasmanian wine. Also we provide Tea, Coffee, Milo, Milk, Bread, Margarine, vegemite, honey, Weatbix, porridge sachets and Sultana Bran, box of crackers, Eggs, bacon, cooking oil, sauces, usual condiments, 4 bottles of water, as well as any items listed in our Amenities. Keeping warm in winter and cool in summer will not be a problem as the unit is fully insulated with a reverse cycle air conditioner installed. A comfortable lounge suite in front of a large screen smart TV for relaxing times. The BBQ area in our back yard includes an outdoor setting and large screen TV. Views of the Derwent River and Mount Wellington/kunanyi through the abundance of native trees. It is a nice place to sit and relax in the sun. Tourist attractions close-by include, Mona (10 mins), Richmond Historic Village (15mins), Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (20mins), Salamanca Place/Market (15mins), Port Arthur Historic Site (1hr 25mins) and many others. Great golf courses within a 20 min drive.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, an electric kettle, and an ironing board. Change of towels is available on request.

Perfect Home away from home
My stay was just perfect! A peaceful somewhat secluded location a handy distance to the city. The apartment is comfortable and well maintained with a huge yard if you have children or like to spend time outside in the sunshine.I will definitely be back!
Absolutely fantastic stay at this property. Set in a wonderful, quiet but convenient location, the new and very well equipped property was perfect for our holiday. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Everything you could wish for was provided, well above and beyond a standard service. I highly recommend a stay here and we would love to return again in the future.
Neil and Vonnie are very friendly and communicative. Vonnie showed us around at the beginning and told us about local places to eat. The unit was fastidiously clean and well stocked , even with a great full breakfast to cook.
wallabies and peacocks abound. We had a lovely quick stay between Geilston bay and Risdon brook dam.
Loved our stay here! Our family's final stop after roadtripping from Launceston, and it was our most comfortable stay. Beds were so comfy, the unit so spotless and fresh.
The location is great - up the mountains a few minutes out of the city. Helpful instructions to find the unit and access the key were given before arrival.
We were lucky enough to see some wild peacocks and wallabies in the front and back yards, spacious outside area.
Hosts were friendly, approachable, very accomodating, and happy for a chat. Would stay here again if we find ourselves back in Hobart.
