Beautiful room with great view (tower) Fantastic value for money package. Best breaky buffet in town, and excellent dinner buffet. We are far from rich but we just love everything about wrest point - price, location, service, shows, food. Best venue in the best city in the world.
We stopped in on our 1st night into Hobart, just for 1 night. Its so 70's but they are upgrading the rooms. Don't buy breakfast here, we think $68.00 for 2 of us for eggs, tomato, toast and has brown is a bit rich, but you expect that in a hotel maybe ? We had a view over the bay which was absolutely lovely. I would recommend go downstairs to the left of the casino and sit on the water have a coffee and breathhhhh.. beautiful. The staff are wonderful.. just gorgeous people, the accommodation is tired and they are addressing it.. oh I should say the rooms are big with the usual amenities. Trivia.. the place is owned by the one family, as are all the pokies in Tassie. They are spending money on the place as I said. not our pick again and certainly wasn't when we came back at the end of month touring.
Our room in the tower was nice. We were travelling with teenagers and were disappointed they could not access the on site café as it was near the casino, this made it hard to get food as the hotel is not within walking distance of any cafes.I would not stay there again with children under 18.Adults only a nice place.
Nice place to stay. Rooms were nice and clean. Hotel is located in a convenient place with a beautiful view. Food was ok but nothing much. Staff was helpful. Casino was not that busy and nothing much to say.
Our room was in the Watersedge section of the hotel which is fair walk from reception, and bit spooky if you're walking there on your own at night. The view was pleasant. The room was old fashioned in its decor but well maintained and spotless. The beds were very comfortable. The aircon kept us nice and cosy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
I recently stayed in the Tower at Wrest Point. The view was sublime & would alone have made my stay worthwhile. However, there is so much more to Wrest Point than the view. The staff are fabulous & so many options for dining.
When you book to stay at a hotel you expect to stay at the hotel. When you arrive to be advised 'your in the motor lodge' you get quite a shock. Then to be told you have to walk across the road and down the ramp well........Whilst clean, the room was vey dated. I was with colleagues who were given rooms in the hotel with views. I was down stairs in the motor lodge with a view of a bush. The whole place is in need of an overhaul.
Had five nights in a tower harbour view room. Every morning and evening the view was magic. Room was comfortable and well appointed. Excellent staff who were really helpful. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
We just spent 2 glorious days and nights in a stunning Tower Harbour View Room at beautifully located Wrest Point. It surely cannot be any better than what we experienced, everything and everyone at the popular venue was as perfect as we hoped. The daytime and nightime views out across Hobart and the River Derwent bay were simply impressive. Our room was quiet, cosy, clean and comfortable with a king bed. The a-la-carte full breakfast and evening dining experience could not have been better. Of special mention was our contact with the friendly and helpful Staff, all of whom made our stay so memorable. We are already keenly looking to again visiting this fabulous venue.
Have stayed here probably 20 times over the years and am enjoying the refurbishments of the rooms & suites. Last visit coincided with a few of the eating establishments being closed, but it's due to major renovations & Hobart has many food options. Looking forward to the new & refreshed eating options when they open.
