I found the carpet a bit smelly and room service breakfast coffee awful but fantastic staff. Nice room service dinners. Didn’t really like the restaurant experience though. The reception staff and concierge staff were really nice.
Loved the view from the room window over the bay. Couldn't seem to get the heating/cooling to work properly, but that time of year it didn't matter too much. Convenient location within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Friendly staff.
The hotel rooms are dated and dark. Time to give them a modern bright look. The ceiling and wall colours make you feel like you are living in a cardboard box, mustard seems to be the only colour available.
A complex good for events and gambling and many choices of eating venues. Breakfast is quite good and also lunch buffet though staff are busy walking around all the time a bit annoying. Maybe because of the space limit. Room seems not always occupied so with the event more rooms are open to serve peak customers but many dirts on remote control is a sign that nobody used TV or the room. View is excellent.
Great place to stay and play. I enjoy the overall experience, including great food and attentive staff. I have been a frequent visitor to the complex for many years, and now live 3 hour drive away but always stay at Wrets Point when we visit Hobart
disappointed this year the last for year we have stayed this year was a let down as previous years have been good we have enjoyed previous years this year was a big let down main one was not enough setting at meal time
Friendly, great staff working under duress. Owners have gone to sleep or are too comfortable, Place needs a reno big time and an upgrade of food services. Staff make the difference, really helpful. $5.80 for water is exorbitant. But the staff save the property from complete disappointment. Way too expensive for the quality. Owners should put something back into the place.
Most disgusting hotel room ever. Totally stuck in the 70s. Old and Daggy, needs a full revamp and clean out of the rooms. Bathrooms were repulsive and SO tiny. for a hotel that charged over $300 for 1 night for two adults it was VERY poor
Had function at property so it was very convenient to attend function, eat, sleep etc all in the one location. The room had been recently renovated and was done in a classy manner. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only negative was the shower wasn't hot enough - i didn't even have to turn on the cold water tap - the pressure was low also. Apart from that i would stay again.
I called my review as staycation because I only live 15 minutes away from Wrest Point my friends say it's silly I say it's excellent. Where else can you stay in a hotel that offers fantastic water views, excellent revolving restaurant, coffee shop and river view. I've yet to try Me Wah which I'm sure will be excellent also, but I will not go back in pier one restaurant because the menu and the service went down from 10 to 1.
