This hotel is surrounded by other buildings. There is no view. Noise sourced abundant. Construction untill midnight, service elevator hurling, door in the isle is left open by service personel which entroduces heat and noise of infrastructure installed there, showers produce a sharp noise which carries to all rooms around. We paid 3mio VND to rent a small meeting room for 2,5 hours. Dinner options limited but plenty of restaurants in just one hundred meter from the hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel at all due to noise problems and rooms without a view.
I stay here for one week and it is good experience in clean environment of hotel with quality food stuff. Staff behavior is excellent. Near by hotel all kind of food is available. Specially It is good to have halal food.
Was booked into this hotel by tour company in centre of Saigon. Hotel in relatively quiet street alongside others 4 star hotels. It is on edge of seedy part of town with escorts on street on next block. Room was relatively small compared to what we had through rest of Vietnam. Breakfast OK and facilities at hotel OK
I travel frequently to Vietnam, sometimes I stay at LeMeridian, Sheraton, Nhat3 and Paragon Hotel. This time I choose the Paragon Hotel and as always I book the airport pick up. After landing with a little bit delay I had to apply for the landing Visa and as well i need to wait in line for the immigration chop. It seems to be a busy time so I spend almost 2 hours at the airport - it’s common and not the first time for me. Finally I pass the customs and look out for my driver I have ordered to go to the hotel - nobody is waiting! After double check I called the hotel and ask for the airport pick up. The answer was: “ the driver wait for 2 hours and return already to the hotel!” No call from the hotel, nothing, that’s ridiculous behaviour! It’s the last time for me to stay at Paragon HoChiMinh Hotel! Besides that, when I check out, the airport pick up was at my bill!
Myself and two friends stayed at the Paragon for three nights on 20, 21 and 22 February 2018. The Hotel is situated in a very good location close to the main attractions, restaurants etc. The staff were very obliging. We were overcharged/ripped off by a taxi. I had asked the Hotel what to do to prevent this happening. I did as instructed took a picture of the meter and the number of the taxi. The Hotel staff member had waved the taxi in. We were charged 400.000 dong. I showed the Hotel my pictures and explained what happened. The Hotel phoned Kan our tour manager a couple of days later and they recovered our money. The Hotel phoned our tour manager Kan and he gave me the dong and he would get the money reimbursed at the hotel on his next tour. The Paragon Hotel did the honourable thing and I thank them for following the matter up. The room was a good size with comfortable beds. The only thing that was not so good was when you were in the shower over the bath this caused water to go everywhere. I also suspect elderly people might have terrible getting into showers over baths. Overall a good place to stay in an excellent location.
Hotel was good. Rooms of an acceptable size and clean and neat. Our room had no view whatsoever as we looked directly onto the building next door. Shower was in the bath which was not great and try as you may you flood the bathroom. Rooftop pool and bar area was good and a nice spot to cool after a hot day.
This hotel is vey good but we had a problem with the shower over the bath. It was poorly situated and leaked over the bathroom floor making it slippery. Hotel very central and close to lots of restaurants, Staff friendly
Spent two days at the paragon hotel ideally placed easy to get to all restaurants. Room was great comfy bed lovely little swimming pool on the roof which we both enjoyed after the obligatory sight seeing trip with excellent tour guide called Wang. They also have a decent dinning area at the top with terrific paranamic view's of the city very underused which is a shame as the young girl 'spring' was a absolute delight so a big thanks to her unfortunately the food there was not great but with a little effort they could have a little gem Would recommend this hotel
Our room was on the first floor facing the road. There was construction going on right opposite us so it was constantly noisy. The shower was awful, an ancient hand held thing over the bath, stuck on the wall by a very wobbly bracket. The bath leaked so overall, bathing was a mission. The pool was very nice and welcoming but once again, there was construction going on opposite the hotel so it was very noisy. The breakfast was good. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
We had a good stay at the Paragon Saigon Hotel. I gave the hotel 4 stars based on Vietnam Hotel standards (it would be 3+ stars in the U.S.). There is a fairly steep flight of stairs to enter/exit the hotel, which may present a problem to some. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable; they have very good lighting; the beds are extremely comfortable; there's a tea kettle, hairdryer, safe, and a complimentary bottle of water for each person is left daily (customary in Vietnam). The elevators are prompt. Despite all the mention of construction noise, we didn't hear any (we had a room in rear of hotel); the front desk will exchange currency at a slightly reduced rate (but worth it for convenience and safety). There are numerous hotels in the immediate area, including a few Western restaurants (The Dublin Gate Irish Pub and 5KU Station is around the corner; Da Salita BBQ is to the right on the corner as you exit the hotel; and Pizza 4P's is about 10 minutes away. The breakfast is a wide array of eastern and western dishes - lots of very good choices (omelette station, fresh fruit, cereal, salads, pastries, soups, etc). Good service and spotless. The menu changes slightly each day. Note: at check-in you are given a coupon for breakfast. If you are staying more than one night you are given a dated breakfast coupon for each day - be sure to bring down the properly dated breakfast coupon. Negative: the towels in the room had a peculiar smell (popcorn-like) - not fresh smelling. Perhaps it is the water or the detergent they use. Final note: My sister celebrated her birthday while we stayed at the paragon hotel and they surprised her with a birthday cake that evening. What a thoughtful and wonderful gesture. (They knew it was her birthday from her passport.).
