Nice comfortable little house. Paul a nice owner of the house. That has everything you need out there to feel welcome. The fishing is great alot property to fish on for flounders, reds and trout, also kayaking. Ill definitely be coming back.

Great quick getaway at Fair Haven in Highland Bayou, and it was exactly what we needed. Our last-minute booking brought us great value and a peaceful retreat. The suite was cute, spacious, and newly remodeled, complete with a breathtaking waterfront view of Bayou. Hearing the gentle sounds of the waves and local wildlife added to the serene ambiance. The location is perfect—away from tourist crowds yet a quick drive close to attractions like Galveston Island and Moody Gardens.Our on site host was friendly and accommodating, providing a grill for us to cook steaks for dinner and allowing us to cast a fishing line into the Bayou for fun, which we really appreciated.Things you should know: Suite is located upstairs only with one entry and is located in a quiet residential community. We often were greeted by a friendly neighborhood dog at the upstairs entry. There was ongoing road construction coming into town causing some navigation challenges. We also noticed that the GPS directions were slightly off, and the top deck was under construction.Overall, We give 5 STARS for Fair Haven as a wonderful escape for couples looking to unwind and enjoy nature at an incredible value. We can’t wait to return for another getaway!

Beach house by water

So cozy with a beautiful view of ocean . It was so relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommended. Waking up to a view of the ocean was amazing Owners of the property were very friendly and hospitable. Definitely a gem !
