This hotel is horrible. If you want fresh towels you have to take down your dirty towels and trade them. They do not offer maid service unless you want to pay for it. After we stayed 2 days the manager called my phone and told.me some of the wash clothes had make up and a towel had lipstick and he was going to charge me. I told him.exactly what he could do with those towels. They are towels of course they will get dirty!! What a joke of a hotel. I have read bad reviews on this hotel on the Web basically calling the managers a bunch of thieves. It was horrible. They will scam.money out of you. I could go on and on about all the issues but who calls about dirty towels??? Watch out they will scam you!!

Great place to stay and only 15 mins from Galveston Island...looking forward to going back soon...

SOMETHING ABOUT THE ROOM HAD MY ALLERGIES FLARED UP BAD!!! I COULDN'T SLEEP FOR SNEEZING AND SCRATCHING!!! MY HUSBAND WAS BITTEN BY BED BUGS AND WOKE UP WITH ONE STUCK ON HIS ARM!!!

We wanted to head to Galveston for a little birthday weekend getaway away but upon looking up hotels in the city and seeing that they were all outrageously expensive!!! So we look in the nearby cities and found this place was only like a fifteen minute drive from Galveston and we could book our entire stay for less than the cost of one night in a hotel of the same rating in the city. Now as we weren't planning on spending just a whole lot of time in room anyway this just seemed like a no brainer to us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating the facility was clean as was the room. The bed was comfy all and it was a great value for the dollar I would definitely stay again

Fantastic and very caring staff. Little hard to find from the address only. Not the best Candlewood Suites i have seen, but among the best for sure.

our stay at the suite was great the only thing that really gave us a hard time was the street lights shining into our room with no curtain to block out the light so it looked like morning all night. and we could not sleep in.

Very good place to stay in Texas City. Staff and facilities were excellant. Price was very good.

Really liked this hotel - rooms were nice and staff was very friendly. My husband and I were looking for a hotel, centrally located between the Clear Lake and Galveston areas that was a great value. This hotel met all our criteria. Would definitely stay again!

stayed the night before leaving for a cruise. Hotel was easy to get to, staff we encountered were friendly. Bed was comfortable, room was small but had everything we needed. Floor in kitchen area had a little debris (dust/food/hair) under the cabinet.

Very nice hotel for the price.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I loved the fully loaded kitchen, with dishes, pots, silverware, and even a water pitcher! The location was great, with lots of eating places and stores around. The only downfall was there was no pool.

Great price for the amenities, the kitchen was modern with granite, stove, microwave, fridge, coffee, toaster, and dishwasher. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a 32in HDTV LCD and DVD player. Very friendly staff .. I just completed an Ironman triathlon and wanted to sleep in so they allowed me a 2pm late checkout with no hesitation. Great place, I would recommend candlewood suites and use them again.

very nice hotel, the rooms are the best

Candlewood Suites was a great place to stay for the Lone Star Rally. Quick ride down to Galveston, minutes away from restuarants, and other stores like Wal Mart. Room was clean and spacious. Wifi was available for free. I will be staying there again next year.
