Hotel and spas in Himeji
What should I bring to a spa hotel? When choosing what items to take with you to your spa hotel, think practicality and comfort. Loungewear is the ideal spa attire. As well as bathrobes, most hotels supply toweling slippers. However, if you're planning on taking a yoga class, pack your favorite trainers or sports shoes. Want to soak in the hot tub or sweat it out in the sauna? A swimming suit is a must. While spending all day lounging around in very little can be freeing, dress codes may apply if you're at a first-class resort. Pack something stylish to wear in your bag as well — just in case.

Hotel Monterey Himeji
5/5 Excellent
"This is our favourite hotel in Himeji. Convenient to the train station, local shops and bus transportation.
Rooms are comfortable and staff are professional and helpful.
The property is aging a bit but still retains its old elegance and glamour. The breakfast venue on the top floor with its chandeliers and view of Himeji Castle is a highlight. The breakfast selection is exceptional at this price level.
I especially like the public bath. Although small, it is elegant and relaxing, The attendant is always polite and helpful.
The hotel has three main entrances and a system of elevators which takes a bit of getting used to but I have gotten to see this as part of the charm of the hotel.
During our last five day stay, our breakfast location was moved to the main hall downstairs due to rennovations on the top floor. I am looking forward to the results next time I visit this hotel!"
