The hotel is conveniently located. The rooms are clean and well appointed with TV, Keurig, refrigerator, microwave, etc. For $55 a night this was a great choice. I have stayed in this area at twice the price for a similar room. The breakfast looked good, but I only had coffee. This is probably the best 'budget' hotel in the area. Staff was very nice as were the other guest. I would choose to stay here again with in the area. There was a hint of musty odor from the AC, but not to an extent that was objectionable. Also the building construction is such that noised can be heard from other guest, especially from the floor above. Noise level can be noticed but not to a level that was annoying. (I always carry and use ear plugs for traveling to overcome any such noises). The hotel is generally very clean. That said the carpet probably needs to be replace in the next year or so. Hotel appears to be owned and managed by a nice family.
With this hotel you get what you pay for. It is not charming, but it's cheap and covers all the basics - perfect for an overnight stay along the highway. The breakfast is definitely more than you would expect for this type of place, including eggs, sausage and waffles in addition to your regular cereal and bagels. Friendly staff and fast check-in. Again, nothing special but fully functional and price worthy.
Clean and nicely decorated room, delicious breakfast, would recommend with no hesitation. Friendly hotel staff and easy, free parking. Located right off I-40, easy to locate and on the main strip of lots of nice choices of restaurants. Great location!
Staff at desk very friendly and helpful. Room on the small size but very clean and bed very comfortable. Hot breakfast very good with real scrambled eggs and sausage with fruit, cereal, waffles, juice and yogurt. Would stay here again.
You can everything going on in the rooms around you and most rooms seem to have showers ONLY but the rooms are comfy & the furniture is updated and beautiful! I have stayed here more than once while traveling into Hickory and the staff always treats me right.
Breakfast was good but lacked regular oatmeal which as a diabetic I would have liked. The eggs and sausage were good. The room was clean, and the internet connection was excellent. We did not meet one staff person who was friendly - business only. Many restaurants nearby. Easily accessible from I 40.
Was driving all day on the way to the beach and decided to stop here for some sleep. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. Rooms were very clean and modern. Great location in Hickory right off of I-40 and close to some good restaurants. For a budget hotel the rooms were marvelous. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
This place has horrible customer service when I complained about being charged for pets when we weren't charged week before told gentleman I calling corporate he said go head no one cares. Then won't give us first floor room had pets and leg in a cast. Nice way to treat a moving military family. Loud at night say case of empty beer case in lawn behind place in morning so much for security. Room had oder musty. Pet charge almost what room cost. Could answer why no charge week before same person checked me in. Also girl at breakfast wasn't washing hand as sign stated she need to by state law I had to pass on breakfest after that. Computer in hallway no security. We won't be back
Room was very clean - recent upgrade, I think. Liked that there is a walk-in shower - also liked that the blow dryer also serves as a night light! My only issue was that the armchair looks like it had been broken and repaired or was about to break one of the legs. Customer service was excellent from everyone we encountered. Hot breakfast, too!!
This motel is very nice and well worth the money. Only issues I had was the tv did not have any stations working so we had no tv. Service was great and nice location off I-40. Recommended to all..... very close to restaurants and shopping centers.
