I have ALS and use a large walker. I requested a room with a handicapped bathroom, when I made a reservation and when I checked in. The clerk was very nice and gave me a room on the first floor which she said was handicapped accessible. It was not!! I could not shower and I needed assistance to use the toilet. It was a degrading experience. I would have requested a different room, but we had unpacked before we saw the bathroom. Although the facility was clean and comfortable, the lack of a handicapped bathroom ruined our stay.

I stayed here twice. The first time the room was on the side facing the convention center and was very quiet. The second time the room allotted was the side facing Lenoir R. Blvd and was very noisy at night. Lots of bikers speeding on that road, made it hard to fall asleep.

Very nice. Would stay again. Nice greeting staff member at the front desk and funny too. Extremely pretty on the inside.

Whoever clean the room needs to "slow" down and make sure it's clean and stocked. There was a bag of chips, bottle water in fridge, newspaper spread out and hair on bathroom floor. No complimentary items. Excorsize room down and sauna door needs repaired.

The hotel is good, it is close to interstate 40 and many restaurant choices. The staff in most cases was very welcoming and accommodating. There is also a good gym nearby called Southside gym.

Hotel is very nice and convenient to everything. Hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel maid was so nice. She had no issues with our pets and assisted us providing us additional coffee and helped with some forgotten toiletry items. We had pets and the pet friendly rooms are very convenient to outside. We would highly recommend this hotel.

I was in town on a business trip and I will be returning monthly through December. The room was comfortable and clean and the food was excellent and reasonable priced. The employees were exceptional and made the business trip enjoyable.

Doors locked after hours, liked the mini fridge in the room, average hotel.

We were in Hickory, NC for the regional gymnastics competition at the Hickory Convention Center. It was great being so close to the convention center and there were plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. The indoor heated pool was very nice. Our only complaint was noise!! We stayed in a room facing the main road and it was Friday night. There was loud traffic, honking, cruising until almost 3 am in the morning. I would recommend a room on the back side of the hotel away from the main road.

Stayed just for one night at the Crowne Plaza, but it was incredibly comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly. Starbucks coffee in every room and a very nice set of toiletries make this a perfect work stopover.

To be fair, we had a much better experience when we stayed in 2012. Front desk staff at check- in was short and abrasive. We did manage to have a better experience at check-out and will re-consider a third stay.

Just traveled to the Crowne Plaza from 2/21 to 2/24 for a business trip. The room was clean, the bedding plush, and a bonus are the toiletries, very good quality, and Starbucks coffee available to make in your coffee machine found in the room. We attended business meetings and found the facility very nice for that purpose. The bar area was a great spot to unwind and catch up with old and new friends. I would highly recommend the Crowne Plaza and would return.

i was disapoint in this hotel. i stayed there on New year eve because it had a resturant and a bar. both were closed for new year eve. it wasnt anything fancy for the price..

The bedding is very nice - super comfy and is the best thing about the rooms. The entrance and reception to the hotel are very well kept, clean and inviting. The guest rooms at Crowne Plaza have obviously not been rennovated in some time. It seems as if new furniture and bedding were bought and stuffed into old, dingy rooms. The rooms have a definite cramped, full feeling (large furniture has been loaded around the perimeter). The bathrooms are subpar (they are clean, but are no in no way inviting or roomy) and the room as a whole has a cramped, dingy feel to it. I would stay here again, ONLY if the rates are lowered as the hotel boasts a more economy feel than the pricing leads one to believe. The place was clean and the staff friendly, but in no way, was our stay worth what we paid for two nights. Stay at the Courtyard Mariott across the street.

A very handy - to our activitties - location. We were in Hickory for four different events and were within t0 - 15 minutes of eachof the parties. Easy off and on! Very quiet rooms. As we use a cane, appreciated the proximity to the parking lot and that the elevator was close to the outside door and easily accesible on the second floor.

The room was clean. Amenities were available. Breakfast buffet included lots of choices for breakfast.

We were in Hickory to shop for furniture which we have done several times before. The Crown plaza is the best place that we have stayed. It is well worth an extra $10 a night to get the breakfast buffet. The rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Hotel was very clean. Great room. Breakfast was reasonable. The hotel help was good. I would recommend a stay there. If I go back to Hickory, I will stay again. Went to Hickory to buy furniture.

the place was very nice and our rooms was clean, couldnt ask for any more!!

The hotel was very clean and quiet. After working it was nice to come back and relax in my room. The bathroom was very spacious and made getting ready for work easy. Coffee was good.
