I had accidentally booked for friday night instead of saturday night. I contacted orbitz shortly after to see if i could change the reservation. They called the hotel and and came back and said it was ok, but there was a $10 fee to change it. I agreed. When i got to the hotel they didn't have sny record of it and said i didnt show, so was charged and i had to pay for a second night
Staff was great and the room was very spacious. At the recommendation of the gentleman who checked us in, we had breakfast at the hotel and it was wonderful. Hotel was clean and parking was easy, but there was quite a bit of construction nearby. No noise, just an eyesore.
Awesome and accommodating staff. Professional and friendly. Gym doesn’t have much… But there is enough square footage for improvement. Very clean

Great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hickory, NC. It's right off of the highway but we didn't hear any traffic like I expected, so that was great! It's also within walking distance to several great places to eat. Also extremely close to a major shopping center with more places to eat and lots of shopping. Very nice staff as well.

The Hilton Garden Inn was a very clean and accommodating. The staff was super friendly and informative. The only drawback was they inform us of a $10.00 charge for a breakfast buffet. In most places they offer a free breakfast in the morning. This was really no problem for me , because I don't usually eat breakfast in the morning, but others who may choose to stay there may not find it agreeable. The only suggestion I would have , would be to install thicker curtains to block some of the traffic noise from the interstate. I was on the 6th floor and the noise from the interstate was very pronounced. Other than that , it is a beautiful place to spend the night. Thank you Hilton Garden Inn Hicklory
We stayed at this hotel a week prior to this stay on our way to and from Tennessee. Our first visit was great. Staff was friendly and room clean. This visit the staff weren’t as friendly and the room (the same room as a week before) wasn’t as clean. i.e. bathroom floor was dirty in all the corners and there was a used tissue under the bed. With small children that isn’t so great. Other than that, the room was comfortable and the bed nice.
My only complaint was shower. hot and cold was not labeled. Took a long time to heat up and still barely managed to get a little hot. And could not change shower head settings. Pressure seemed low.
Large, spacious room with comfy bed. Keurig coffee for the morning. The bathroom walls were a little dirty. But otherwise the room was very clean. A nice place to stay.
The property is located in a bad hidden place. The surrounding landscape is not properly maintained. Rooms were somehow clean but the hotel offers to little for the money. The breakfast area looks poor. The coffee - very bad. The spa and the pool just OK. Very cheap and old towels for the spa. No drinking water in the pool area. Well, the fountain drink was not working. Overall the entire place is overpriced for what they offer. The front desk stuff was not to familiar to read the reservation properly. I had better experiences for less money.
This was a beautiful new property. The staff was very accommodating and professional, super friendly. The rooms were really nice. I didn’t use the gym and pool but did see them, really nice. We stayed with kids but it would also be great for business travel. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed having unlimited bottled water. Amazing staff. Had in problems with internet and toilet. But very minor issues. Overall great place.

The Staff was friendly specially Caleb. The Hotel "looks great" unfortunately the room wasn't "pleasant" they need to upgrade, the carpet looks disgusting, the bed sheets smell like sweat, uncomfortable pillows and Bed. First and last time there!
Have stayed at Hilton garden inn in Frankfort Germany and had the same great experience. Hotel is beautiful and will definitely stay again when we visit our friends in Hickory. Rooms and bedding are very comfortable and staff was very helpful.
The hotel is only about 6 months old. Everything is very clean. The lobby is very inviting with lots of natural light and a refreshment center that is well stocked with coffee, water, and cookies.
