Friendly and comfortable - will be back! Great friendly place, staff all really helpful. We stayed for 5 nights and landed lucky finding this place. Wife was on a business trip and I accompanied her - as we will be making this trip twice a year, it is great that we have found somewhere we can return to. Food was good, room was what we needed and staff great - what more can you ask for when visiting a new place?

I stayed at this lodging for two nights for work reasons. The staff was really careful also in taking in consideration potential allergies for the breakfast. The room was not so good but clean, as well as the bathroom. The wardrobe was too small for a long staying. I had also a dinner and it was quite good like the beer. Last day I woke up really early (4.30 am), so I didn’t have the breakfast.

Stayed two nights as the pub is in a good location for Harry Potter World (about 5 miles away). Really lovely relaxing stay! Stayed in room 9....spacious and comfortable with lovely features. Breakfast excellent and friendly staff. Thanks everybody - especially Michelle who looked after us!

I spent a lovely evening with a dear friend in the olde kings arms last night Excellent food in good portions Lovely staff and what i would call a great example of what a british pub should be! Also dog friendly! Thanks for a great evening Nicky

I’m really glad I found The Olde King’s Arms for my 4 night stay. The room was clean & well set out, the breakfast was excellent & the staff were helpful & welcoming. The pub itself is a beautiful old building on the high street (good location) with accommodation tucked away in a newer building at the back. I stayed in the room especially set up for people with disabilities & it met all my needs. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay.

We usually stay in generic chain hotels but we were attending a show at the Olde Town Hall and this place was recommended to us. As it was directly opposite the venue we took a chance and booked it. I was a bit uncertain what to expect but we were not let down. We had the loveliest welcome from a girl on the bar who showed us to our room and provided us with all the information we needed. The room itself was far better than we imagined. A beautiful 16th century inn with lots of character. We didn't want to leave the room! So clean and very comfy... bedding and pillows with cushions to relax on and a lovely desk and chair. We even had not only a kettle with tea and coffee but also a coffee machine with Nescafe pods! Bathroom very modern and spacious shower with heated towel rails. Breakfast was served in a cosy room with a lovely lady serving. She chatted to us and gave us info about the local area as well as showing us the outside garden which is amazing and would be fab in Summer with outdoor bar and bbq! She said it used to be a car park but they have really transformed it to something wonderful. We would definitely stay here again even for visits to London as it is so clean and homely and the staff are so welcoming and warm. Thank you for making our weekend even more perfect! We will definitely be back!

After weeks of trying to find the perfect Sunday roast finally found one. There were only 2 meat choices available chicken or beaf (presume there was a vegetarian option but I didn’t look at it) The food was absolutely lovely especially the Yorkshire’s and the potatoes and we were given extra gravy without any prompt too. Not only did the food taste lovely but the atmosphere in the restaurant and the service was superb too.

Popped in for a spot of lunch with family. On that day it was pizzas and they have a good choice. I chose the Spanaird pizza. It was amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The outside area is spacious and a great place to chill when the weather allows. Fab lunch.

My wife Patricia and I had such a Express service while staying there. Staff were so welcoming and good to talk too. As my wife has mentioned in my ear. Theres a very smart handsome chap called Ben, who runs the pub hotel and I must say he does a brilliant job of entertaining us and making us feel so welcome. Thank you. Keep up the hard work. We will be returning soon.

Stayed over for one night en route to Harry Potter Studios, was ideal place only 20 minutes away Room was clean and comfortable the meals we had in the evening were tasty and good portion size, breakfast was the same. Staff and locals all very friendly made for a great evening and place to stay
