The staff were delightful, kind and courteous. The breakfast was huge and delicious. Everything was very clean.

+ Close to center + Helpful staff + Included buffet breakfast would cost at least 20 euros elsewhere + Nice pool and sauna - Room would have been comfortable if the air-conditioning had been sufficient. The instructions for the air-conditioning unit were incomplete and we had to fiddle with the buttons to get it to work at all. When we called the front desk for assistance we were told there was no one from maintenance working after 6 pm. They sent a staff member up to look at it and he couldn't get it to work either. We were then switched to another room which had exactly the same problem. The first night we slept with the windows open, but were attacked by mosquitoes. The 2nd night we slept with the windows closed and the air-conditioning 'on'. The unit only allowed the fan on low and the temperature could only be adjusted between 19-22C. Normally this would be fine if the fan was strong enough to cool the entire room; however, it was not. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping. The rest of the hotel was great! There is really no excuse for the terrible air-conditioning system. I imagine it would be fine in winter, but we were there at the end of July.

Nicely located near the central station - two stations away from the central station and there are many trams and buses that goes to the station. Also, there is a bus that goes directly to the airport every 20 minutes. Room was decorated in modern style and was clean. Breakfast and WiFi internet access were also provided.

No clock in the room makes it hard to deal with the time !

The hotel was an excellent value when compared to other hotels in the area. We had prebooked an non cancelable room. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the center of the city. The hotel is very large and has all the amenities; king bed, coffee maker in room, separate bath and shower, refrig, and a great full gym, finnish bath(sauna) and a swimming pool. It would have been good to have known that the Finnair Bus goes directly from the airport to a stop right in front of the hotel. It cost 6.20 euros. We would stay there again.

The rooms are somewhat old and tired and the bathroom layout could be better. Beds are a little firm for my taste. However, the staff is excellent, the included breakfast buffet has a broad selection, the sauna is a nice added amenity, and the location is very convenient (although not in the city center, it is a 3 minute tram ride away; easy walk to Opera, national museum and Sibelius monument; the Finnair airport bus also stops just outside the hotel). There are also at least three very good restaurants within 2 blocks.

Good deal for the price

The staff are good. The whole hotel is tired. I believe they are about to start an upgrade process.

Very good for the money. Great breakfast. Nice people. Quiet room. Dinner so-so at best. Older and showing signs of wear.

First day there were no shampoo at the room. Room was small and not new furbished.(For that price level it should be newer.)

This is a very solid basic hotel in a good location - near, but not in the center, 2 short tram stops from the RR station and about 5 minutes (tram) from Senate Square. Breakfast buffet (included) is very substantive. Front desk staff very, very helpful in English or Finnish. Only problem - no self-service laundry. Otherwise, great.

This hotel was in a good location for connections. They were very accommodating - answering any questions we had. They were able to store some of our luggage as we traveled to Russia. We were delighted with the various and plentiful selections on the breakfast buffet - something for everyone's tastes. We also enjoyed a meal in their restaurant - delicately prepared.
