The hotel is conveniently-located near a multitude of restaurants, historical attractions, the harbor, and other sites of interest. Both the hotel itself and our individual room were incredibly clean. Unlike at other European hotels I've patronized, Fabian Hotel has designed its shower so that it's incredibly spacious and virtually impossible to get water all over the floor (this was NOT the case for three other hotels which I recently visited while traveling). The bathroom had heated floors (quite a nice surprise!) and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. The staff at the front desk was incredibly helpful at providing restaurant recommendations and making reservations for us, as needed. Our room was on the second floor but there were no issues whatsoever with noise, either inside or outside the hotel. Everyone at Fabian Hotel was so friendly and professional. I highly recommend this establishment and intend do book there next time I visit Helsinki.
The hotel is located in the centre of Helsinki. The lobby and bar are quite small, but the rooms are very spacious and very well equipped. I loved the walk-in, spacious shower particularly. The beds are good and the interior of the room is a little retro but very tasteful. The only downside is the breakfast, which is very limited. But then it's also not very expensive.
A very comfortable, boutique hotel in the heart of Helsinki. My room was large with a walk - in wardrobe area, decent bathroom, huge bed and lounge/seating area. Breakfast was plentiful and at the end of each day the staff were on hand with a glass of Napue (Finnish gin) or red wine. Suggestions for dinner were most welcome too: Juuri and Ox were both outstanding. Nice 5km running route along the harbour too, and the sauna at Löyly was a great experience.
This is a lovely hotel. I did not give it a 5 because I had requested, months in advance, a room on the upper floor away from the elevator and any noises like ice machines. I was given a room on the top floor right by the elevator. Because the area of the hallway in front of the elevator is not carpeted, every time someone came in or went out of the elevator, I could hear walking(tapping), which woke me in the morning and was disturbing in the evening. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely and the staff very helpful.
Well situated if you want to visit the design district and if you walk off the Tallinn Ferry. Great front desk, breakfast has good variety and quality. Rooms are well laid out and good size for the price. Comfortable bed. Small lobby offers a limited selection of wine/beer spirits but better than nothing! Right next to a liquor store with knowledgable staff who recommended a wine to go with the dinner I was having at a friend's home.
I can think of nothing to criticize about this hotel! Chic modern decor, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast (delicious coffee and quite a lot of food choices), helpful staff, great location. Would stay here again if in Helsinki.
Lovely breakfast. Quiet room. Great staff. Super location. Room size fine. Bathroom large. Comfortable bed. Would stay again. Had slanted ceiling so had to be a bit careful to not hit head. Desk staff very helpful.
Great boutique hotel within walking distance to the heart of Helsinki. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and very comfortable and the daily breakfast was perfect. We would definitely be back when next in Helsinki.
very nice and trendy boutique hotel. rooms are cosy and modern, high quality bedding and appliances. staff is efficient, polite and nice. location is great, very central and close to the harbour. breakfast buffet is complete and copious. i stayed in two of the scandic hotels before finding this one - the scandics were surprinsingly old fashioned ( scandic normally is very modern) - and now i stay here. there must be other nice places in helsinki but this one does it for me. good quality and a decent price, nice rooms, nice people - everytjing you want out of a hotel.
Walking from the ferry, we were not impressed by the outside of this hotel but, once inside, marvellous. Greeted by friendly and efficient ladies, our bedroom was a delight. Clean lines, elegant simplicity, compact but very adequate shower room & plenty of storage space. Very good mattress, soft & silky bed linen made for good sleep, Breakfast was really excellent with seating in the main area or in the conservatory where blankets & cushions available to keep warm. Small but comfortable lounge area made this hotel perfect for our stay, highly recommended
