Short walk to shopping district and hotel has good maintenance, nice amenities, large walk in shower....up to our expectation after reading all the TripAdvisor reviews. One little disappointment is about the high price they charge for Nespresso after breakfast hour (which was served complimentarily at breakfast), 4Euros for a small cup of espresso which is 10 times the capsule cost for hotel guest seems not very reasonable [this is the price I expect to pay when I dine in at a restaurant!]. The little disappointment out of all the 2 nights stay. But overall, very good hotel and I am delighted with their breakfast selection.
Great hotel very close to the city center. Great location, great breakfast selection, very helpful staff. Rooms are spacious with all necessary amenities. Will highly recommend if you are in Helsinki for a few days!
I don't think I've ever stayed in a better hotel than the Fabian. We were greeted with exceptional warmth on arrival, and the same friendliness was extended to us by each and every member of staff. The hotel is extremely stylish. The decor is predominantly black and white but good lighting gives it a cosy and comfortable feel. We initially stayed two night and had a generous sized room with wet room. On returning from a trip to Kemi, we were given an even bigger room with bathroom with a huge walk-in shower for our final night. The receptionist remembered where we'd been, and asked about our trip. It felt like coming home! All staff members took time to chat and took a genuine interest, truly treating us as guests rather than just customers. The breakfast is superb. I became a porridge lover - served with big spoonfuls of Finnish berries on top, it's delicious. The buffet was constantly being replenished, and pastries are baked fresh in the dining room, so you get them hot and flaky, straight from the oven. I don't know if I'll ever be back in Helsinki, but there's only one place I'd want to stay should I return. Thank you to everybody at Fabian for making our stay so special.
I stayed at Fabian Hotel for 3 nights in March 2017. There is nothing I can fault. Great location, delicious breakfast spread, extremely polite staff and our room was perfect. The rooms don't have water bottles/ jug and electric kettle. We bought water bottles but the kettle was missed as for our morning coffee we had to go down to the breakfast venue.
I was recommended to stay in this hotel anx was warmly welcomed at reception.. My room was a corner room.. with a balcony and seating area outside.. but with temperatures of -2C and snow.. I wasn't tempted.. the room itself was well presented and had a comfortable layout.. And an area for me to sit and relax in. The downstairs lobby bar was small, but very comfortable to sit in.. And the dining area was equisite.. where we had breakfast.. of which their was an excellent choice and real green tea.. All in all a wonderful place to stay... in a great location near the harbour and I look forward to coming back..
Very nice place. Cost and spacious room, great design and furniture, excellent service and friendly staff, great breakfasts despite small lobby. The location is not very central but quiet and just 10 min walking distance to Helsinki central are
Visited last February during a work trip to Helsinki. Positive experience. Small hotel, good reception, room definitely ok and valuable breakfast. A place to consider when visiting Helsinki. Price ok too.
We spend nice weekend getaway in Fabian. Fabian is very nice place, always wellcoming, polite staff and rooms are very pleasant. Everything is quite near, so it is easy to walk around the city. Hotel also provides very good night sleep, thanks to great beds. Hotel breakfast is delicious. Nothing to complain, Fabian can be recommended!
Stayed here for one night and had a really good time. The hotel is quite small and boutique -style. Rooms are modern and elegant. The location is great - close to city center and all the nice restaurants. The service was superb too.
A perfect choice and well situated in Helsinki. An easy walk to plenty of the sights. A very comfortable room with good shower. Very helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Overall a really enjoyable stay and definitely a hotel to remember for another visit.
