Room is nice... I like the folks that work here. Been here a week, all good in the neighborhood.

The staff, the desk guy, and the lady desk clerk are very nice young people. The folks that stay here are definitely the American working man.

The continental breakfast was a cup of coffee. It took between 5 and 10 minutes to get hot water in the shower. Stains on furniture and carpet. I could go on but I'll sum it up with 2 words. IT SUCKED !

I was very pleased with this booking. The clerk was very considerate and ask if the room met my expectations, which it did.

Ok so I was a skeptic when I read everyone else's reviews and thought "eh, it cant be that bad". Well I was totally wrong! I booked the hotel on Orbitz here 1 month before our trip. It was just for one evening. The pics online looked fine so I thought we would be good. When we pulled up the hotel looked like something out of a horror movie. My boyfriend who is a firefighter (big guy) was even more skeptical than I, and he doesn’t frighten easily. When we went to check in the lobby smelled awful and the owner(?) this Indian man came out with what I suppose was a greeting. I told him I booked the room online on Orbitz and he clearly did not understand. He was yelling and screaming not really comprehensible. He started shuffling through papers telling me I needed to pay still. I had to call my credit card company to confirm the payment had been made. Which it had 3 weeks ago. He finally found it and said we were fine. We got our room key and proceeded to the room. The room was just as unwelcoming as the office. It had an interesting aroma that wasn’t quite a cleaner more like an air freshener. There was a hole in the wall with cords coming out where a smoke detector should have been. The tub had a sink handle on it that was very difficult to adjust. We actually went to the local Kmart and bought sheets and pillows to sleep on. We also propped a chair in front of the door when we slept. Completely disgusting! Customer service non-existent! Be warned!

Fairly clean inside the room, although outside environment was a bit trashy. Sheets were clean, but large cig. burn in blanket. Good staff. I would advise spending a little more to stay someplace a bit nicer (I will, next time), but if you're shopping for the very best bargain in Frackville, this is probably it.

To large extent, our bad experience was our own fault, since we waited until the last minute and all decent lodging was filled to capacity. But, first of all, my husband thought he was clicking on the Econo-Lodge, and up came Granny's Motel. This place should burn to the ground. I was awake all night worrying about bedbugs. Honestly, the place looks like it had been heated with a coal burner for 40-50 years and still has the same unwashed dirty LACE -- can you believe it -- curtains. Any paint job that it has had in these 40-50 years was done by someone wearing a blindfold. Filthy, filthy, filthy. And that's the inside. On the outside, Granny's windows and all other wood trim is rotted, and Granny herself stands in effogee outside the "office, a bigger than life size "sculpture" cradling a young child holding a dollbaby that has NO HEAD! Can you imagine why I was up all night. I brought a blanket in from our car and dressed myself from head to toe to survive the night on the bed. Don't go here, whatever you do. [...] should take this place off the radar.

I just needed a place close to the interstate to lay up a few hours during a long motorcycle trip. The cleanliness of the room was a little suspect -there were hairs on the bathroom floor and toilet paper floating in the toilet- but the sheets and the towels were clean. The owner/operator was at the front desk and relatively friendly, but nothing more. The advertised continental breakfast consisted of hot coffee and a loaf of store bought white bread (I kid you not!) But what else do expect for $49??? I'd go back there if I were passing by again!
