Everything was great . Just had an issue with the A/C. Winter started late and they still only had heater and no air conditioning. We complained to reception but they basically didn’t care to help. Thank you to Angelique we were able to get another room that was cooler. She also offered another one of the properties with Air conditioning. She was amazing and we stayed thanks to her.
This is a remarkable hotel! Besides being a beautiful and luxurious accommodation, the staff was outstanding in flexibility, professionalism, and warmth. They were helpful and flexible for two very weary travelers! The location is lovely and the atmosphere calm and restful. Aside from a brief glitch in the hot water supply in the late evening, (which we did not report,) everything was first quality. We would recommend this hotel highly.
The Brasserie in the basement as well as the Riva were likely the most depressing places I have ever been. Staff is very nice and professional , Location is good but the Hotel is overall just ok.
Modern decor in rooms that doesn’t match the architecture of the hotel. The casino is very small and boring, young bored crowd from the city. The Restaurant of the casino “The Riva” is sad and too close to the casino. The Hip bar closes at 11pm!! No real lobby to hang out and relax. The staff is young and not really trained for a 4star hotel. You have to book a view lake room which I did, they still tried to put me in a room on the other side of the hotel with the gloomy view on the sixties buildings. Overall too expensive for what it is!! Nice view on the lake, this is pretty much it!!!
Gorgeous hotel well situated on the annecy lake. Comfortable rooms with comfy beds. Responsive staff. Gorgeous restaurant/dining options. Great time. We also hosted a large dinner gathering (19 people) and the staff were incredible, food was great and the location was gorgeous. Concierge and reception desk are very courteous and speak english fluently. The only downsides were that the room key kept demagnetizing and there were no washcloths (somewhat typical for a european hotel). Highly recommend this place!!
Hotel was beautiful, adjacent to a public beach. There is also a private beach, but it was "booked" during our stay for private parties, which was disappointing. The reception, concierge and Cristal Spa staff were kind and extremely helpful. They also were happy to speak to us in English. On the flip side, we did not feel the same about the staff at the bar, who almost completely ignored us. The room was clean and we had a surprisingly beautiful view for a garden room.
Rooms and locations are ok. If you are looking for good service and good restaurant food, you will be disappointed. Casino is older and does not have a good vibe to it.
