The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Hanover, close to restaurants, shopping, and Dartmouth’s campus. Staff members, from valet to front desk, were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the room itself fell far below expectations, especially for the price and rating. We found trash on the floor, stains on the walls, bedding, and chairs, and the shower drained poorly, leaving standing water. The sink was beat up and the room’s air was tough to regulate. During our stay, the guest elevator was out of order, so we used the service elevator or stairs. One night, taking the stairs led us through a one-way door straight into an unmarked construction zone, no signs or warnings. Overall, the staff and location were great, but the cleanliness and upkeep of the room need major improvement.

The location of the Hanover Inn is perfect. It’s right on Main Street in Hanover and was walkable to everything we wanted to do. The jr suite was large and clean. All in all, a great experience.
