Hotel was undergoing renovation this time. Lucky me got a room facing half of Westlake this time around. Wish they gave me a room of full west lake next time! Went to Restaurant 28 again, it didn’t failed to disappoint! Breakfast was one of the best amongst the other hotels I stayed for this trip! My room doesn’t come with free breakfast but it was worth paying if you’re someone who needs to have brekkie. It’s quite delicious and good spread. service is good too!
This is a great hotel in a great location. It is located right on West Lake. The fountain show takes place directly in front of the hotel at 7pm and 8pm nightly. Convenient to the metro station, shopping and restaurants.
Another business stay at the Hangzhou Hyatt which was as always like a coming home away from home. Efficient and friendly staff who are always ready to assist in any way they can. Lobby was under renovation but that will give us next visit something new to look forward to See you soon again!
Right on edge of West Lake.Only 1 block from Metro station. We arrived early at noon & front desk graciously checked us in . Room was serviced daily in a most thoughtful manner. Spacious room & bathroom updated & finished to a very high standard. Highly recommend.
This hotel clearly has the best location in Hangzhou being right on the lake and right in the city. Under normal circumstances I would highly recommend it, however the hotel is in the midst of a major renovation and should really be closed during the renovation. Work is done between 9am and 6 pm and during that time our room on the 6th floor shook and vibrated. At times the noise was unbelievable. Anyone thinking about staying at the Hyatt during the next year should make serious inquiries about this work and should understand that their stay will not be restful, at least not during daytime hours. The management did make some adjustment to our room rate, when pressed. I don't think I should have had to go to them asking for a reduction in the rate. That should have been done on their own in light of the on-going work. They know it's very noisy and unpleasant for their guests. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. However, when asked for restaurant recommendations, they always push you towards their hotel restaurant, Hubin 28 which is very expensive and gets very good reviews. My husband and I thought it was not very good and the worst value in almost a month of dinners in China. We did enjoy our time in the Club Lounge. The service was very good and the staff really made every attempt to fulfill our requests.
We’ve stayed in a number of hotels throughout China and this tops the list. It’s a great hotel in all respects. Location is directly opposite the lake where you can see the nightly light show. Room are of a high standard as you would expect with the Hyatt. You have a large variety of food at the breakfast buffet. The dinner smorgasbord menu has an extensive range of Chinese, Japanese & European foods. The dinning room staff are exceptionally friendly as are the staff throughout the hotel and no request appears to be too much of a trouble. I encourage you to use this establishment whilst in Hangzhou.
Great location right next to the lake and a high end shopping centre, both a very easy walking distance. The hotel is fairly modern, good sized bedrooms and bathrooms and all the plumbing worked well. Some renovation was going on in the reception area when I was there so didn’t see this area in its best light. Spacious and well equipped gym, there was a large pool area but I didn’t get to explore this. Large bar are with subdued lighting. Very good free WiFi with excellent speeds. Breakfast buffet was exceptional with options to suit all tastes as well as the option of freshly prepared eggs. Stayed here for a 5 day conference and could not fault the food in any way at all. Would happily visit here again
The hotel is right by the Westlake. The sunset was stunning. If you have a lake facing room (and I highly recommend you book one) you can enjoy the sunset in the comfort of your room. Area is busy will malls and many restaurants. It is also near a Subway station. The hotel is under renovation but we did not feel any noises. Staffs are well trained and polite. I lost my cashmere scarf and they helped me to locate it. The room while not the most modern was comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back when I am next in Hangzhou.
Went to China to visit my brother and we stayed there for 3 days in 2016. The staff was very welcoming and it felt good to be treated with so much warmth and attention. The staff paid much attention to details.
This hotel looks very pretty outside. The room is small. The staff at the front desk are not enouph and made customers waited for long time. Staff are no warm to customers. No free breakfast. Room view shall be very pretty as the hotel is at the edge of the West Lake . However, we got little view of the lake.
