A relaxing but wonderful trip filled with friendly faces, amazing service and warm care ..... great location and amazing lake ..... hotel well maintained, clean, functional, environment great ..... love the swimming the second best and the breakfast buffet is the best ..... just cannot stop eating!!!!! Ha!
Although it's the best location any hotel can have in Hangzhou but the rooms needs a renovation , they are not the types that you expect today , carpets have worn out bed , furniture & bathroom have aged .
i stay here every time i come to Hangzhou and would higher recommend this hotel. the location is great and the hotel itself has everthing you'll need. i stay on the club higher level which also includes a good breakfast.
Nice rooms, helpful staff, beautiful lake and mountain views. Very conveniently located on the lake and near shopping and restaurants. The large pool provides needed respite after touring around West Lake in the heat. Big enough to swim laps and hours are extensive. The two onsite restaurants are fantastic. Extensive buffets with plenty of options in one restaurant--the flesh seafood bar was amazing! The other for classi Chinese with a bit of local flare--go with chef's rec for seasonal dishes. If you haven't had beggar's chicken, it's very tasty and the kids will love the presentation in this restaurant.
Right on the lake, and walking distance to great food, like Grandmas kitchen. Staff was so helpful and friendly and helped us book trips to Lingyin temple, longjing tea fields as well as booking tickets to the G20 summit West Lake show. Everything was super accessible and very impressive. My boys ages 3 and 6 were entertained and happy with offerings of cookies, juice and lollipops. The breakfast buffet of western and eastern options is awesome and lunch was just as good. Easy taxi ride to and from the train station. I think it's an excellent choice for a central location to check out West Lake and the surroundings.
Highly recommended, luxurious hotel right at West Lake in Hangzhou. Professional staff, extremely helpful and attentive. The swimming pool is beautiful as is the hotel itself. Clean and quiet, The views of West Lake are spectacular and the proximity to the lake is amazing. Close to many, many restaurants and shopping. Highly recommended.
Without a doubt this hotel is in the best location you can find in West lake. The rooms and service are standard 5 star. The only thing that they must think about is that the hotel is getting old and it need renovation. For me is the number one choice in Hangzhou
I was told to use a local phone app to book a taxi myself or to use metro nearby to save the wait time. But It was odd to me that a hotel would refuse to book taxi for the guests, especially this hotel is considered luxury in the city. The cleaning staff was nice and the room was clean, but other hotel workers hardly had any smile on the face. The hotel offered afternoon tea service on weekend in the front lobby. It was difficult to find a seat during that time if you have to meet someone there. But I would still choose this hotel next time in the city, only because of its great location: it is next to the West Lake and is close to many good local food choices. Just don't expect anything more than a clean room at night.
Great location (right across the street from the lake and next to shopping area). Hotel is dated, and they charge you for every minor thing ($12/cup of coffee in the morning...a big process to get a coffee maker in the room), and breakfast was about $35. Rooms were OK, like a Hampton Inn. They were very nice, but the Asian/ American translation was not easy.
Having visited but not stayed in Hangzhou before I chose this hotel based on past experience of the Hyatt chain. It was a good decision, the hotel is on the shore of west lake, a beauty spot of Hangzhou. That said, Hangzhou is a beautiful city with lush green vegetation wherever you look. On arrival I was served quickly and efficiently, my King room was well appointed and the bed welcoming and comfortable. My room had an added advantage of a terrace, where you can sit outside to enjoy some quiet time and fresh air...(see photo). Breakfast was included with the room and pleased to report food choice is very good and the coffee even better..... For the area I thought the room rate was fair. I will book here again, when I am back in beautiful Hangzhou.
