By the creek
The view from the rear deck is lovely. There is a bubbling creek and beautiful landscaping. The property is quiet and close to a State Park, fossil beds, hiking and Kayaking.

Checking in was easy enough but I wish the owner had returned my call when she was having trouble running my card. I arrived not knowing if it had all worked. The bed is the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept in. I wish owners would invest in nice mattresses. My attitude about a place is always better if I have a great nights sleep. My cabin was right on the road so the traffic was loud. Nothing really near by and not really safe to walk or bike on the road because of the traffic.

IF THIS KEEPS EVEN ONE PERSON FROM STAYING HERE I HAVE DONE MY JOB . LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE THE OWNER FAILED TERRIBLY WE'RE HAULING A ENCLOSED TRAILER SO WE CALLED AHEAD TO MAKE SURE THEY COULD ACCOMMODATE IT . WE WERE TOLD THEY HAVE PLENTY OF PARKING BUT THAT IT WAS FIRST COME FIRST SERVE THEY SAY THERE HOURS ARE FROM 10 AM TO 7PM . THEN THE DAY WE SHOWED UP AT 11:00AM NOBODY WAS AROUND TO TALK TO ( HOURS 10-7 ? ) , IN ORDER TO KNOW WHERE TO PARK OUR RIG ( NO PARKING FOR TRAILERS EXCEPT OUT ON THE MAIN ROAD) THE ROAD IN DOESN'T EVEN GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE COMPLEX ! ALSO WE HAD ASKED FOR A INDIVIDUAL CABIN ON LINE WHEN WE REGISTERED "THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN EITHER " SO WHEN THE OWNER FINALLY SHOWED UP ABOUT AN HOUR LATER, WE ASKED HER ABOUT THE PARKING AND ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL CABIN.... SHE SNAPPED AT US AND SAID " CHECK IN ISN'T UNTIL 3 , ( FIRST COME FIRST SERVED WAS WHAT WE WERE TOLD ... ) WELL WE'RE BOOKED, THIS IS ALL I HAVE YOU SHOULD HAVE CHECKED BEFORE HAND " TO WHICH I REPLIED " WE DID AND WERE TOLD YOU HAD PLENTY OF PARKING " ( ANOTHER SIDE NOTE THE PARKING LOT ISN'T EVEN ASPHALT ITS JUST PEA GRAVEL ) A HOST SHOULD BE FRIENDLY, ACCOMMODATING, AND CUSTOMER ORIENTED. ( THE OWNER ) IS AS RUDE AS THEY COME .... SHE SAID WELL GIVE ME A MINUTE AND I'LL JUST GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK !!! I DON'T CARE WHERE YOU STAY YOU CAN GO TO TWIN FALLS FOR ALL I CARE .!!!! ... EVEN HER HUSBAND ADMITTED THAT SHE WAS VERY ORNERY LOL
The grounds are exquisite. It's right on a creek and it has benches and night lights. You hear the brook babbling all night. The room just felt really good -- much better than a generic room. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were just lovely. It's 5 miles from a stunning state park, Malad Gorge. You can kayak on the river. There's a national monument with fossils up the road. It's air-conditioned. It's just my kind of place - just way better than getting a generic place in Twin Falls. And best of all, NO WI-FI, so your kids won't be stuck on youtube the whole time. ;-)
