My wife and I had a wonderful stay with them, the hotel staff service was amazing, our room was incredible and clean, We love the breakfast the black beans was the real mexican deal and chilaquiles was delicious, overall I’ll definitely come back here, Thank you so much.
The Hacienda was the perfect location for all of our weekend activities. We were within walking distance to all of the best spots in town. The rooms (air conditioned) were perfect for the very unusual, hot weather that weekend. The breakfast was wonderful every day. They use fresh veggies from their own rooftop garden. The personnel went out of their way to take care of all the last minute needs of the bride and groom. Their hospitality was amazing! We can't wait to return. The Hacienda will be the obvious choice.
This hotel is the best kept secret in SMA! The hotel staff is friendly, accommodating, and very welcoming. The rooms are very clean & spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. A delicious Mexican breakfast is served daily in the charming, tranquil courtyard. The grounds are lush and well maintained, and the location is perfect! Easy walk to the El Jardin, great restaurants and shopping. We have stayed at the hotel twice this year and have enjoyed our visit both times. Can't wait to go back!
We checked in the Friday before Labor day late. When we got to the room were pleasantly surprised. We had the buganvilla master suite. It was just the right size with a king bed and 2 comfortable arm chairs inside. and a large terrace outside where we spent many hours just listening to the bells of the many churches and reading. The many common areas were lushly landscaped. There was even a large rooftop garden that you can access through a steep staircase by the kitchen. We enjoyed his and hers massages and facials for what I consider a great price. The included breakfast was great to start the day. Best of all the location. We easily walked everywhere we needed to go. Would absolutely go back.
Lovely small Mexican hotel with limited rooms built around small quaint courtyards. Bathrooms are tight awkward as is closet space. Breakfast and breakfast staff amazing Wifi awful except around Reception Beer available at reasonable price although no bar nor evening meals on offer Lovely outside decor in traditional Mexican style Close to main square
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend because we were going to a wedding in San Miguel. We couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The room was impeccable, it was always clean. We were given the Membrillo room which is the only room that's on the very top with views of San Miguel Arcángel Church. The service was amazing. The staff made sure our stay was incredible. Breakfast was included and it was delicious. One of the best chilaquiles I've ever had. The price of the room was not bad. We ended up staying an extra night because our weekend was so amazing. I'm actually going back this year with friends and already booked a room at this hotel. It is well located. It is a block away from everything. So it's close and far enough from the noise of the overnight mariachi in the plaza. Highly recommend this gem.
Absolutely loved this little hotel. It is cute, charming, tasteful with comfortable rooms that feel both Mexican, old-fashioned and yet still comfortable verging on luxurious. The location is just close enough to the center of SMA while still remaining reasonably quiet and we felt that the relationship between value and experience was very fair indeed. There are also plenty of very considerate touches to be found, such as a high quality coffee maker in the central courtyard just outside reception, knowledgable and friendly staff, decent internet and a really nice breakfast served in the charming central courtyard. Our only disappointment was the fact that this was just a one night stay, we would recommend staying longer if your itinerary permits. As two couples we were given very different rooms. "Pinguica" is on the ground floor on the right hand side coming from the main entrance. It is a totally charming room with king size bed, fireplace, small seating area and a small but rambling bathroom with twin sinks, a decent shower (the window overlooks the courtyard) and then a short hallway down to a separate WC and closet area. It is comfortable, spacious and surprisingly quiet given the location. Can't remember the name of the other room, but it was down a series of nicely decorated passageways and then up a few flights of stairs to the very top. Due to this location and (presumably the afternoon sun) this room did have a mini-split a/c unit. This is also a king room with a smaller but very nice bathroom. I have added photos of both rooms as well a few of the public areas of the hotel.
My husband and I stayed at Hacienda el santuario. We were so happy to have stayed there. From the moment we arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great, we felt like we were at home. Breakfast was included, and it was good. Very prompt service. We enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend hacienda el santuario.. Gary and julia.
The property is a great location, just a few blocks away from the jardin, yet far enough away to be a little more private. The staff and service were excellent; the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Obviously the friendly staff takes great pride in the hacienda, its cleanliness, its history, and its guests' comfort. A beautifully tended rooftop vegetable/herb garden provides fresh produce for the kitchen. Breakfast every morning was delicious. Loved the Chilaquiles and whole grain French toast! Will definitely stay here again if in the area.
