This is a hotel in an older building, which I really liked - classical architecture. It is right in the middle of Guanajuato. There is a risk of it being a bit noisy as a result, but the hotel supplies ear plugs. I was in a room at the front, so you may want to ask for a room further back. But very nice decor.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Perfect location, right next to the Jardín de la Unión (the spot for nighttime drinks and entertainment in GTO). Very well designed small boutique hotel, clean, well maintained and helpful staff. Luckily we reserved a room in the back, after reading a review warning if noise at the front. The disco across the pedestrian street in front plays music loud until 2:00AM on weekends (Sunday counts in Mexico). We could have heard a pin drop. The bedding, room furnishings and toiletries are top notch. The included is very good, fresh fruit, yogurt, Mexican pan dulce, and to order eggs, pancakes, waffles and more. Bottled water, juices, snacks in the room are also included. Plenty of places to see within walking distance, but being right off the Jardín is the biggest advantage. Oh yah, and after a day walking the city you can come back for a refreshing plunge in their elegant indoor pool. Not olympic size, but does the job! Also check out the rooftop terrace with spectacular view on the Basilica de Guanajuato and much of the center of GTO. Good in the day, fantastic at night. Why look elsewhere?

Sometime saying less is more. It was an awesome experience. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They definitely go the extra mile for their guests. The room was very comfortable. The bed... excellent. And... did I mention location… Perfect.

First of all, the hotel is in a pedestrian zone which google maps does not seem to pick up, so it took us three loops around the Guanajuato city centre before we just gave up, stopped the car and walked the rest. As previous posters said the complementary parking is far away and there is no valet parking, so you'd have to drop off the car and take a taxi back into town. We opted to pay for a local (5 minutes walk) public parking. This was quite expensive. The location of the hotel is excellent. It's right on a pedestrianised park with cafes in the centre of Guanajuato. The appearance of the hotel is pleasant and the lobby and breakfast area are pretty. Breakfast was included in our rate and included cereals / rolls / juices from a buffet as well as a cooked breakfast - we enjoyed it. there is a bar, but this was not open during our two night stay. There is also a swimming pool and jacuzzi, which was pretty but small and in need of TLC (you could see the grub / disintegrating wood when in the jacuzzi) Our rooms were facing the interior courtyard and the windows did not open. The rooms were clean and comfortable if a little boring. The bathrooms were small. Guanajuato itself is a wonderful place, very enjoyable. The hotel was ok, but if I visit again I'll probably look for something with prettier rooms.

Beautiful and clean Hotel friendly service I would definitely would stay here again Loved staying at your beautiful Hotel They even provided us box lunches to tak with us on the way to the airport. Staff was very helpful

The location is amazing. And the staff are incredible, especially Karla Romero. From our first email in January, Karla was consistent, professional, and results-oriented. Everything we asked for was delivered beyond our expectations . She is amazing. The view from the terrace is breath taking. The food was absolutely gourmet. So many guests told us that our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. This had nothing to do with us. It was all Karla. If you are looking for a wedding experience that will create lifetime memories for not only the bride and groom but also the guests, We highly recommend Hotel Edelmira and Karla Romero.

Believe me, it is worth it! I'll have to start by saying that their staff is top notch. They will go the extra mile every time just to make out of your stay the best experience. Their amenities, WOW. I booked their superior deluxe room and I cannot be more happy. The Edelmira boutique also offers a climatized pool which is beautiful. Great to use after a long day of walking the charming city of Guanajuato. Their in-house restaurant has a simple but delicious morning break-fast. Moreover, location is fantastic. This boutique is right in the heart of downtown. And I could go on and on about why you should stay here. I'll conclude saying that if you stay here, you would LOVE it! P.s..The pictures on their web page truly represent what the boutique looks like.

This is certainly a good hotel, good service, clean rooms and bathroom great lobby and so on. However the photos in the Internet show just the nice views. Our room had a small window looking to an internal area with others windows. The style was basic, nothing fancy. They offer parking because Guanajuato is very difficult, but their parking agreement is so far you need to take a taxi and the nearby parking costs close to $40 a day. I do recommend if you have basic expectations.

Had a great time in Guanajuato- the hotel was in the center and you are able to walk everywhere from there! The only downfall was the construction going on, hence the ear plugs in the room. Overall a great stay, comfortable rooms and friendly staff! My only concern was the pool and the smell by the spa! There was a very un welcoming smell and at some point we had to get out!

some of our friends got a room on a lower level and couldn't stand the street noise. Luckily there were more suitable rooms available and they were given one. Problem solved. We checked in late. Got a room. Turned on the AC but it wouldn't cool. The front desk staff was not able to figure out why the unit wasn't cooling. It took us a while to figure it out, but eventually it worked. The breakfast was very good!
