Nice hotel, but don't depend to much on room service if you're hungry!

Hotel is an older hotel located in Centro Historico Guadalajara. Great location and easy access to taxi's or Uber. Room was spacious and clean. Only minor complaint is housekeeping didn't restock the room consistent. Other than that, hotel was great. Food at restaurant was also delicious.

Was a great places ,closer to the center and a lot places in guadalajara.

Pros: Quick check in and check out. Hotel is historic, centrally located and nicely decorated Decent restaurant with decent prices and a decent buffet. The pool area is nice but small The room was nice and spacious with a nice big closet, safe, and walk - in shower. Also the room is equipped with an air conditioner. The work out room is nice but also small. The staff were friendly enough. Most spoke English, some much better than others. Speaking Spanish definitely helps. Cons: The bed is hard as a rock. The roof of the hotel in the back is not fully enclosed because of a canopy so you hear EVERY noise from the outside. There is a disco on the next street that blares music all night long. Additionally when anyone talks and walks, you hear an echo underneath the canopied section . Also, right now the hotel is undergoing renovations, so there is banging from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The city is also constructing a subway line, so you hear that noise as well. The hotel also has a hall that it rents out for weddings in the adjacent building and you can hear music from that hall as well. My last night it was unbearable due to the the loud music from the wedding, the disco blaring music, and the noise from outside.

The amenities are very good. The restaurant has excellent food at a reasonable price. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The area is clean and safe. I have stayed there many times and will be staying there again. The rooms are also reasonably priced.

Stayed here only one night, but really enjoyed it. The building is grand, high ceilings, interior courtyards, the room was huge, with a separate living room adjacent to the bedroom. Bath was a little dated and tired but perfectly fine. Watch out for slippery floors, the bath floor is very slippery when wet. Very conveniently located to the cathedral and the many grand buildings down in the central part of Old Guadalajara. If you can, vista the square at night, the lights are lovely. Try to get a room away from Avenida Corona, it will be a little quieter.

Great place to stay. Beautiful, clean, confortable, great costumer service.

Beautiful hotel with a very friendly helpful staff. One of the nicest hotel experiences I've ever had. Laura makes a great Marguerita.

I read that the hotel was built in the 1930's. I think. So, old, although not necessarily 'historic'. We loved it. Rather than the corridors typically found in hotel design, the rooms on each floor are built around open plazas. The room was large with a king sized bed and a couple of modified wingbacks. Comfortable. While we were there, I read a 450-page hardback book in the furnished open plazas and by the rooftop pool. I am not a reader, usually. I mention this to illustrate how tranquil and relaxed the place is. And we were still able to take in all the sights if Guadalajara and environs. The hotel restaurant - we thought - was quite good. A solid 'B' for sure. Very good grilled jumbo shrimp. Ribeye steak. And the pricing was unbelievably low by American standards. Excellent meal for two with wine and 20% tip for about $15. With every meal, as I did the pesos-to-dollars conversion, I was shocked every time. We never got accustomed to it. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, sights. And let me just mention: a safe in the room, flat screen, large shower. And no carpet. Hardwood or solid surfaces. Which we prefer. I give the Morales and it's staff a hearty recommendation!

Stayed here two nights and everything was great . The place is really nice and is close to the historic center. Also the staff is very helpful and friendly.

Great location, good customer service and nice facilities.

This hotel is centrally and conveniently located in downtown Guadalajara, hotel was quite, gorgeous and family friendly. Lots of great places to eat near it and the staff was super friendly!

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. Solidly built building hence, no noise can be heard from neighboring rooms. I love that there are no carpets in this hotel. Its central location makes it an ideal place to explore the historic center of the city. There are several coffee shops and restaurants within the vicinity of this beautiful hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. I recommend it to all travelers!

We loved our Jacuzzi suite and the location was within walking distance of many of our destinations!

This hotel is great. Close to many good restaurants walking distance to center square many great places to visit with lots of history museums , theatre and beautiful old Spanish churches good central location to visit other locations by taxi or tour buses.,

First of all. Our suite had a very strong odor of paint thinner. The front desk couldn't do anything for us because they didn't have any other rooms. Second, Bad maid service ! We had requested in writing for more bottle water which we would have paid for and face and hand towels that wasn't provided with the room at check in. We left 5 dollars tip for her. We came back to our room that evening and found nothing that we had requested for. We called the front desk and told them about it. He sent what we had requested up to our room. We repeated the same thing the next day along with the tip. All we got was the same thing. Nothing !! Maid did take the tip !! Very BAD service !!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would reserve my stay here in the future. Staff is extremely helpful and comforting. This place is a beautiful historical place in the central part of Guadalajara. Many great places to eat and be entertained all around. I would highly recommend it to anyone I know.

We have been staying at this hotel once a year for the last 18 years. The building and the history are fantastic. The staff needs to take a class in customer service. When you arrive to the hotel the bell hop greats you and takes your suitcases up to your room. after that they NEVER say have a good day, enjoy the city, need any help with anything. Even the hotel manager doesn't say anything to you. But once again it's the location is great.

Extremely beautiful, fully restored hotel with several Mexican-styled court yards, with all modern amenities including hair dryer, iron and ironing board, free bottled water, in-room coffee, cable TV with many channels (some in English), concierge service, in-room safes, internet services, air conditioning, gym, swimming pool and lovely rooftop outdoor terrace. Some rooms also have refrigerators, dual bathroom sinks and large whirlpools. Entire hotel is Wi-Fi enabled. You can choose a room plan that includes a delicious buffet breakfast served from 7:00 am to noon that includes pancakes, waffles, breads and pastries, juices, fruit, made-to-order egg dishes as well as Mexican specialties. The front desk staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Hotel is just a five minute walk to the historic core of Guadalajara with many exquisite centuries old buildings, a United Nations World Heritage Site. Enjoy free live music, colorful dancing and exhibits going on almost daily. Near many mom and pop stores as well as major department-type stores and historic markets, eateries, parks, plazas, museums, cultural centers and cantinas. Two-minute walk to La Chata, one of the best places to eat in town (be prepared to wait in a short line). US $12 each way to/from airport or pre-arrange round trip discount price with hotel. I loved Guadalajara and I can't wait to go back. And it's extremely gay-friendly, too!
