Though the room was small, it was comfortably furnished and even included a clothes iron and ironing board. The room also had an easy to operate safe and several USB outlets for charging cell phones, tablets and Kindles (the electric current is 110, U.S.A.). The A/C unit operated well and the bed was quite comfortable. Unlike many of the hotel's I've visited throughout the world, the hotel's staff do not speak English, but they were quite helpful in their attempts to understand my broken Spanish. The hotel does have an onsite deli and McDonald's and KFC were within walking distance from the hotel. Overall a great seven night stay, and if I plan to return to Guadalajara, I will stay there again!
Everything nice and smooth , breakfast nice hotel! Very friendly employees 100% reccommended! Very centric place close to other atractions , restaurant turistic places , i would stay there again! thank you!
Everything was fine except for the internet service. I had a hard time connecting and when I finally did the service was very slow. These hotels are supposed to cater to people who travel for business and an essential element for us is the internet service. I would highly recommend that you please look into this if not I will be forced to chose a different hotel. Thank you.
Let's start with the few good things: The room was clean. End. The bad points: internet NEVER really worked in my room although I complained and it was extremely important for me. The room was really small. The breakfast was very poor. The personal was unpolite in general, they didn't even help us with the luggage and stuff like that. I think there are many other hotels in the zone that you can find for better price and quality than this one. I would never go back there.
Well, the room was clean, but this outfit could care less about their guests - they advertise "free airport pick-up" I called, they never showed, I called again & got "I don't know" - I had to take a taxi. The desk and chair are super small, like it's for a 5 year-old kid, certainly not an adult. The WiFi disconnected continuously - frustrating. I tried the free breakfast, never again - I was sick for several days, bad food. Also, the bed sheets are not cotton, and the bed was as hard as the floor.
I have stayed at city express hotels in several locations around Mexico, and this one is the only one I have to feel disappointed with. Since I work for several companies, I usually get a corporate discount. This time the mail did not get in timely, so the staff just would refuse the discount and practically forced my to pay the full amount of the stay., Then, when the mail with the corporate details came in n ext morning they still refused to refund the difference stating that they had already issued the invoice. I just think this is not a professional behavior of a famous hotel chain.
Well I go to this amazing place in Mexico i.e Guadalajara and was forced to stay in this place(It was close to work) but the 10 days I lived here where really bad days of my life. Except two experienced staff I seriously dint find anyone even bothered slightly about any of their customers. To add to the mess they call you in the middle of the night saying "better pay up for the next day or they throw you out of the premises".The staff do not know how to check their database if the payments are done and they wrongly bill you over and over.. All I can say is the place is totally mismanaged..I really dont know if the line of receptionists they have act dumb or they really are ..Most of them only speak Spanish.. The MENU is really boring and expensive and the food they give you is really tasteless. The kitchen opens at 5 PM. So lunch....Try asking the reception..She tells me and I quote "That is your problem!" .Not that their foods something you want to eat but you really dont have a choice because the next closest place you can buy anything from is 15 kms from that place..The breakfast is the most mundane thing ever..You get the same items everyday and cannot eat it for more than one morning.. And the best part..On saturdays the kitchen is closed..Why? because the only cook they have who also serves you in your room needs atleast one holiday a week..Damn! So imagine this..She falls ill..Theres no food.. Though this place looks good on Google maps in terms of location you realise that the road right in front of it is always blocked in office hours so the only edge this hotel has is lost..and the images look good too..But its all a sham! Steer clear..dont stay here!
The bed only has two tiny pillows! Is so uncomfortable. The bathroom is very small also, and is all black so you can't really tell if it is clean. No bath tub, Iron and hair dryer aether. Very small room. The cost is about 90 dls. NOT WORTH IT. Is far from key touristic places.
Had a great time here! The front desk staff was very attentive and upgraded us to the renovated suites at the top floor. The rooms were very modern and it felt like a "Ikea" store; for us was just ok. Breakfast is included until 11:00am which was also very nice. The location was perfect to enjoy the city. We would come back.
The hotel is ok, rooms are basic, but nice, no toiletries, you can hear everything from next room and the noisy guests, laughter as if they were in a market....but at midgnight :S Coffee shop is overpriced for what it is, not exceptionally tasty, no assortment of what you want as you need to ask for 2 or 3 options until they have something that suits you. It's not ideal that a hotel has not a proper restaurant. Menus for restaurants who cater the hotel are offered, like for example Chillis in Plaza del Sol, but first try they never brought the order, second try food arrived cold as a corpse plus the person on the phone does not know how to pronounce the items in the menu in at least pasable English. Breakfast is a joke really, dont expect more than continental breakfast, 1 or 2 varieties of juice, coffee, bread, some yogurts and some slices of ham that they try to market as the 5 options for energetic breakfast with the corresponding calories each option would represent... oh wow. Beside that, the breakfast-cafeteria area was overcrowded and is excesively hot without air conditioned. Also something that called my attention was to find a male housekeeper cleaning my room which is a bit unusual. Its not a bad place to stay at all if you will organize your meals outside, you are not bothered by having a restaurant in the place and dont mind to walk a loooooooooooooooooooong block to find something to eat under the merciless sun of guadalajara. Aside you have a tacos/broiled meat restaurant, but im not sure how willing is people to get carbs everyday during their stay. Staff is attentive which is great.
