This is a gem of a place to stay! Dawn was very welcoming and the breakfasts are amazing! The Dice Suite felt like home away from home. We brought our puppy and Dawn spoiled him rotten. Can't wait to go back!

Colonial House is a beautiful, well maintained, and cozy B&B. We were greeted by Dawn upon arrival and she was very warm and inviting to us and to our pup! We came to Ligonier to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and Dawn made it extra special for us. She gave us great dining recommendations (we went to Carol and Dave's Roadhouse in walking distance one evening and Out of the Fire Cafe about 20 minutes away the next - both were spectacular), wonderful homemade breakfasts with local and seasonal ingredients, and offered us sparkling cider to enhance the celebration. Dawn is not only a great hostess, but a really nice person, and when we ran into her throughout our stay, it felt like running into a friend. She arranged for us to get back-to-back massages (there's only one massage therapist so side-by-side was not an option - fine by us!) and set up the table in our living space, so it felt comfortable and private. The bed felt like a cloud. It was totally quiet despite being on Main Street, and there were lots of places to walk to and shop or eat. This place is really cool and historic, and upon leaving, we wished we had more time to enjoy the space and read about the history. But Dawn gave us info about the place and was happy to answer any questions. We also really appreciate a B&B that allows dogs (under a certain weight - talk to Dawn beforehand to get the seal of approval), as having our pup with us made the weekend even more special. We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to everyone we know!

Great location in sweet town, very comfortable and the innkeeper Dawn was amazing, warm and helpful. She clearly loves her work. We enjoyed 2 nights in Ligonier with great meals in local restaurants, and browsing shops where everyone was helpful and welcoming. We chose this location because we had tix to Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob which were so interesting. We hope to return some day.

We stayed at colonial house for 2 nights. As soon as we walked in the front door we were amazed by the details of the house. You enter through an amazing foyer with gorgeous tile and wood accents. Our suite was upstairs. Our bathroom was not directly attached to our room, which I may have felt differently about if we had not had the entire place to ourselves. Our room was a little smaller than I had pictured but the way it was arranged, it flowed well and didn't seem crowded at all. We had a TV, mini fridge and microwave in our room which made it very convenient for us. During our stay we were also invited to use the big living room downstairs with a bigger TV and more comfortable furniture which we really enjoyed on the day we stayed in. On the first night of our stay, my boyfriend put together a proposal and Dawn was so excited to hear about it in the morning. Her reaction was so genuine and she went above and beyond to give us a spectacular breakfast the next morning. Breakfast both days were delicious and served in the foyer. I'm amazed at how Dawn transforms the space, she really utilizes everything to the best it can be used. We will definitely be staying here any time we stay in Ligonier

A lovely historic home in downtown Ligonier with a hostess who goes above and beyond. We had a great stay and especially enjoyed the breakfasts! The rooms are comfortable and lovingly furnished with period details. The location is great for walking around town.

The Colonial House on Main B&B is wonderful! The owner, Dawn, is precious and has created a wonderful B&B experience. She is the hostess you always wish for at every B&B! Everything from the warm decor to the "thought of everything" comfort amenities to the fabulous breakfast is included in her very reasonable price. My sister and I stayed here while the Soup Crawl was happening in town. That was fun and the shops were amazing. We dropped our luggage off at the Colonial House early and then attended the Soup Crawl. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had the entire floor to ourselves. There were 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. The bedroom was lovely and very clean and comfortable. Towels were in the bathrooms along with shampoos, etc. Robes are provided. The 2nd room was a TV/living room with a futon beautifully made up for sleeping, small refrigerator with water, coffee pot, and more. Breakfast was amazing! This was a full breakfast, not continental, served on a beautifully set table. Fresh coffee, orange juice, sliced apples with yogurt/granola/fresh berries, muffins, delicious quiche, croissants and served beautifully. Delightful! We will be back!

My wife has always wanted to stay at a bed and breakfast for Fort Ligonier Days. October of 2018 we were fortunate enough to be able to do. We were extremely satisfied with the accomodations, just like home. Colonial House is on Main Street which provided us unbelievably close proximity to all events going on in Ligonier, mainly for my wife the craft vendors and for myself the food vendors and for both of us the ability to watch the parade from Colonial House's front porch. Dawn was an exceptional hostess and provided not only a great quantity of food but the quality was just as impressive. Colonial House was clean, well maintained and secure. Anxious to stay again in October 2019. As they say "Happy wife, Happy life."

We visited the Colonial House over the Fort Ligonier Days in October. Dawn is the consummate host! The Inn is both historic and comfortable. We immediately felt welcomed. We were able to watch the fun parade right out front! Breakfast, which was provided, was delicious and elegantly served! Pastries divine! All in all, I recommend the Colonial House to family and friends, and everyone visiting Ligonier.

Lovely home located a short walk from downtown Ligonier. The front porch was a relaxing place to sit and read or watch passersby. The accommodations were very satisfactory, and Dawn was a welcoming hostess and engaging conversationalist. The bountiful breakfast will set you up for the day. A very nice get-away. Hope to return someday!

When my granddaughter saw her room she said "I love this room I could live in it forever!" It reminded me so much of my grandmother's house, and Dawn made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would come again! Thanks again Dawn for the lovely stay! Blessings, Sally Ron Nur and Hadley
