Nice property but some designer placed “programmable” thermostats in room where prior guests programs couldn’t be over ridden First room was 76 degrees - wouldn’t cool down Second room was set at 26 Celsius !!? Weird Third room was normal. If there was another hotel option I would have left

Very beautiful and well kept property. The staff was very friendly and the service was very prompt. I would definitely stay there again.
No late check out option at a hotel near a ski resort immediately removes it from being a decent option. No late check was made available to me even though the place was desolate. Not happy
The staff is top notch and the rooms are very clean and spacious. Surprising interior design-pool/hot tub room really well done with wood beams, skylights and subtle lighting.

I was surprised that there were so many issues with the hotel. Here are a few: 1. The soap/shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were empty. 2. There were loose and dirty floor tiles in the bathroom 3. The breakfast omelet was ice cold 4. The front desk told me a late check out was 12noon (a regular check out was 11am) which isn't much of a late check out 5. The walls were so thin that the loud talking person in the next room sounded like they were in my room 6. There were no available outlets or usb ports at/near the nightstand. It is nice to be able to plug your phone in by the bed 7. The battery was falling out of the bottom of the clock radio 8. The king sized beds were closer to full size beds. 9. One very, very slow elevator I did like the lobby. It was interesting how it was themed to match the area. Otherwise, it was rather disappointing for the money spent. A great ski weekend ....................................
We spent little time in the room mostly out on the slopes skiing. The facility was more than adequate for our stay. Staff was very accommodating by returning a left behind wallet with money and ID's all intact. That made our visit all the more pleasant. Thank you for an honest staff!

In short - There’s no standard hotel (aka, franchise) in nearby Ohiopyle, for the many rafters & bikers who flock there. Donegal only 30 min away, and this HExpress provided a great overnight spot. Always love H.E. loaded breakfasts! Only recommendation- don’t bother putting a garden tub IN the main room! Seemed an attempt at a luxury room, but was waste of space, where we could’ve had a 2nd queen bed instead.
Enjoyed our stay. Staff was great. Perfect for a family weekend skiing.
Very noisy. The doors are very thin and allow every noise to be heard. No one will ever sneak up on you in this place.
