We really liked it here. The hotel was clean and in a quiet, pretty neighborhood near a great park and some good bars/restaurants. The woman at the front desk was incredibly sweet and helpful. The rooms are a little small, but otherwise it's a good spot.
The location of this hotel was great. There are lots of shops and restaurents nearby. The Co Op grocery store nearby had sandwichs and snacks ready to go if you don't want to eat in a restaurent and my room had a mini fridge that was very handy. The subway is a 2 minute walk and it's just 3 stops to the downtown shopping area.
Good stay, great cleaning staff, kind front desk! It's the perfect location, across the street from Kelvinbridge subway and surrounded by restaurants! The only moment I didn't like was one night two men seemed to have been given the wrong room number and tried to get into my room!
Very good hotel and close to restaurants. Friendly staff and parking spaces available . Close to subway , easy commute to city centre.Good breakfast and nice service. Prompt response to call and services.
Close proximity to Glasgow University, around a 15 minute walk. Close to transportation links into the centre of Glasgow. Abundance of eateries close by. Hotel very clean and tidy. Reception knowledgeable regarding local area.
Friendly well run hotel. Clean rooms, nice quality linen and comfortable bed, and very good services provided at the reception. Hotel near the University of Glasgow, easily accessible and in a quiet street!
This hotel is very good located in a very quite street looking at a park, and the river Kelvin, but at the same time in a very lifely neighbourhood close to the University of Glasgow. The room is big and clean and has a nice view on the park and has everything you want. It is great value for money.
A very comfortable room. It was next to the front door but noise was not a real factor. Nice, breakfast to order. Good shower. Very helpful front desk/reception. It's a great neighorhood close to museums, Botanical Garden, and many excellent restaurants. All was walkable. Also adjacent to a subway stop.
Our experience has been good. The hotel is located in a very central and quiet area. Easy access to town, shops and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Very highly recomended.
The Albion is situated in a quiet residential street off the main road. The outside was clean and inviting. We were visting Galsgow as my daughter was attending a an open day at the University. The Albion is siuated about 15 min walk form the main campus. We were allowed to check in 2 hours early. Once we decamped, we decided to explore Galsgow, which was easy as the Subway was 2 mins walk away. We arrived back from our exploration at around 8pm and decided we needed some supplies for the next day. Lucklily there is a Tesco Metro situated round the corner. Whislt we were coming back for the store, we noticed that there were a lot of restaurants and bars in the area catering for most tatses. We hit the sack for the night, which was little uncomfatable as the matresses seemed old and lumpy, however the sheets were clean a fresh. In the morning we went for breakfast, which consisted of a buffet style cereal bar and a cooked breakfast. Once we ordered from the hot breakfats menu, it came very quickly and was hot. Tea was served in a pot which we got 2 large sups out of. We had to check out by 11.00 and as we were visiting the university, the hotel allowed us to leave our three small suitcases there, which we collected later. Overall our visit to The Albion was great. Polite and helpful staff, lovely rooms (we stayed in the family room) and great breakfast. The only negative thing was the matresess. And finally, if you are staying on the first or second floor, be prepared for a climb up very steep and long stairs. I would recommend this establishmnet to anyone and if my daughter decides to go to Glasgow University, I'm sure we will return.
