NH Las Palmas Playa las Canteras3.0 out of 5.0

Without doubt the plus is the excellent location, just a few steps from Playa Las Canteras and all the bar and restaurants. In spite of the position the hotel is quiet, rooms are comfortable and clean. A good option for visiting Las Palmas at an honest rate. The only problem could be the parking if you come with a car. It's not so easy to find a spot in the area for parking the car, unless you dont want to use a garage that is very close but a little expensive .
The hotel seems fairly newly renovated as the rooms are good. This is not a luxury hotel so the rooms are not fancy but clean and good. The hotel is just a few meters from the Las Canteras beach and many restaurants. The hotel does not serve breakfast so breakfast is provided in the sister hotel just around the corner. This hotel is facing the beach and breakfast restaurant has a nice view of the beach. Breakfast is nice with a good selection of the usual breakfast items as well as some local specialities. Staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful. The road outside the hotel entrance is closed for usual traffic( it seems taxi and people residing there can drive there) so we did not notice any noise from the traffic.
The only good aspect of this hotel is its location. Close proximity to the beach and restaurants. The rooms are bare and not very welcoming. I was unable to sleep all night due to the hot room (A/C is useless) and cheap, uncomfortable bed. As if that wasn't bad enough, the noise radiates through the paper thin walls. I could hear everything going on in the hotel. All. Night. Long. It seemed like every time I would finally drift off to sleep in my sweat soaked bed, I would be woken by a random bang, or conversation, or the mini refrigerator clicking or buzzing. Seriously, I am pretty sure I could hear what my neighbor was thinking. I see on other reviews that the hotel is due for refurbishment. For their sake, I hope the guy the entire building and start fresh. But it is not my concern, as I will certainly never return.
Stayed here for a week beach holiday in Gran Canaria with my boyfriend and was very impressed with the hotel. Literally steps from the beach the location is excellent. We had accidentally booked a twin instead of a double room, but the reception was very helpful in changing our room for the second night. Huge shout-out to Javier at reception who was an absolute star! He gave us excellent advice both around the area and also for places to visit in Gran Canaria, he was very happy to answer all of our questions and offered us great suggestions for adventures! The entire hotel was squeaky clean, and the cleaners conducted a thorough clean of the room every day when we went out so we were very happy with the conditions of the room. The breakfast at the sister hotel down the road had huge variety- literally anything you could ask for, baked goods, cereals, hot foods, eggs made to your taste (we loved the pizza bread!). The only thing we would say is that some days the pastries and pain au chocolat were delicious and warm, while other days they were not as fresh. Would definitely recommend it and stay here again!
The hotel has a friendly service. Clean rooms. And the location is perfect, close to the beach but not too close to noisy bars and restaurants. Free parking might be an issue. You need to look for a while in the neighborhood
Generally satisfactory and clean in all places also the rooms but very poor in other languages the staff. It is located in a very good part of the beach and it serves very good breakfast. Spacious rooms and beach views are simply great.
This hotel is in a very good location just a few minute walk from Playa Las Canteras as well as plenty of restaurants and bars. There is a breakfast buffet at a nearby sister hotel. The staff was friend and the room was newly updated, clean and comfortable.
I visited the hotel on a business trip. It is not very fancy but clean and well taken care of. The rooms are very nice and will make your stay pleasant. The location is also very good, just a few meters from the beach and many restaurants and bars.
A typical NH hotel. Close to the beach. Its really simple. You can't eat anything on it. If you want to have breakfast you will have to go to another NH which is in from of the beach. Its not expensive..
We stayed one night at this hotel awaiting for a cruise. It has a very good facility at a great location unless you are driving to it when it becomes confusing as it is located on a pedestrian way. The staff did not seem eager or happy to help you as on our previous hotels during this trip. In conclussion, nice facility, at a very good location, which is hard to find, with mediocre staff.
