This hotel is situated in the middle of Las Canteras beach broad walk, making it very close to restaurants, bars and the main shopping area. I stayed with some friends on a bed and breakfast basis as there are many lovely restaurants nearby. The rooms are of a reasonable size and very well maintained, although my bed was very uncomfortable and on the 7th and last night of our stay I woke to an excruciating pain in my back and leg, which my physiotherapist back home blamed on a bad bed: fortunately after some treatment, recovery was quick. The spa, pool and gym are very nice amenities to enjoy. The breakfast buffet is generous.Staff are very helpful and friendly. So the hotel would have been lovely if only I'd had a decent mattress!

Just returned from our second stay at Reina Isabel. For us this is the perfect hotel in Las Palmas. You fall out of the hotel onto Playa de Las Canteras a wonderful 3 kilometre beach and promenade. Hotel staff are most welcoming and friendly, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Breakfast and Dinner are buffets but the standard is in our opinion very good with plenty of choice. If you require something more elaborate there is an A la Carte Restaurant on the 8th floor. This year we had a sea view room and it was a delight to sit on the balcony and simply watch the world go by. The room was quite spacious very clean and had everything we required. The swimming pool and spa which we recommend are on the 8th floor. We are an active retired couple still in our 60’s who simply love Las Palmas, this hotel and it’s air of informal formality. If the mark of a good holiday is to return home feelin totally relaxed at ease and plannIng next years visit then it is in our view excellent value. We will be back next year.

Returned for another visit to this hotel located on the les Canteras beach which is the 10th best beach in Europe reference Trip Advisor Got a wonderful reception from the staff in all parts of the hotel who were genuinely pleased to see you Rooms are well equipped with superb bathrooms Breakfasts are first class and are the dinners Marina bar adjacent to the promenade is good in a lovely location Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and look forward to my next visit

Spacious, spotless suite overlooking the beach. The staff were very helpful and professional. Rooftop restaurant, pool and, most importantly for me, a gym overlooking the sea. Right in the middle of things and with an inexpensive bar/restaurant overlooking the beach. I couldn't recommend this hotel more.

I have nothing but positive comments for this hotel. Stayed for a week with my wife and returned home yesterday. The staff are helpful, friendly and even have an English sense of humour. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and the sea front balcony had enough room for two sun loungers two chairs and a table - shame it was cloudy some evenings but that’s not the hotels fault. We generally don’t go half board but did on this occasion as it was not too much extra and it was well worth it a great choice of options including a cooking station where they cook for example steak or fillet of sea bass in front of you. On the eighth floor you will find a cocktail bar, gym, spa and rooftop pool with sea views all modern clean and again great staff. The only potential improvement was the evening entertainment however it was geared up to the average age range of the guests which while very mixed including some young children tended to be 60+ this was no real problem as the beach promenade has a wide range of bars and restaurants for a mile or so either side of the hotel and we found an Irish pub to the right and a reasonably priced cocktail bar to the left and visited both on a regular basis. Also to confirm other reviews they do serve a great breakfast range including Prosecco and Vodka which we didn’t go for ourselves however it seemed popular with some of the 60+ clients possibly why the evening entertainment was a little subdued !!!!

My wife and I have returned to this hotel for another 2 week stay and it hasn’t disappointed, It has been absolutely superb!! Great location, great food accompanied with the most helpful and friendly staff. It’s so good we’ve already booked to return next winter.

Thank you to Reina Isabel & Spa for an enjoyable week's stay at your hotel. Returned to the UK on the 12th March. Hotel is situated centrally in the centre of Las Palmas on the seafront of Las Canteras beach surrounded by restaurants, bars and cake shops. Shopping outlets are just around the corner. The hotel is well maintained and cleanliness is of a high standard in all areas of the hotel. There is a modern roof top swimming pool for 50 people which is adjacent to the spa facilities, gym and bar restaurant. Fantastic views from the roof top. There is a restaurant bar terrace at the back of the hotel facing the beach. Food is reasonably priced. Drinks were expensive. Beer 3.5 euros. Cocktails 9 euros. Hotel has its own area of the beach which is monitored. Free sun lounges and umbrella. Beach is very clean and has been awarded the blue flag for high environmental and quality standards. Attendant very amiable. My husband and I stayed in a city view room. The room was well equipped with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space with a modern bathroom with a walk in shower. Couldn't really fault the facilities in the room except there was no tea and coffee facilities and TV didn't cater for English occupants. Only 2 channels we could find - Sky News and Movies for Men! The room was cleaned to a high standard each day. The patio doors had double/double glazing and couldn't hear traffic or noise at night. Had an excellent night's sleep. We were half board and used the facilities of the restaurant at breakfast and evening meal. The layout of the restaurant was poor with food stations being in close proximity, only allowing one person to walk around at any one time. The English breakfast was of poor quality. We were slightly disappointed as other travellers have rated this excellent. The plates were hot but a lot of the food in the food stations was cold and the bacon was either uncooked or overcooked! Fried eggs dry and boiled eggs not cooked at all. The continental breakfast however was far superior. Unfortunately the evening meal let the hotel down. This was poor. The menu was geared towards a German menu. There wasn't a lot of variety compared to other 4 star hotels we have stayed at. There was no waiter service in the main entertainment lounge area which we found rather strange as it was quite chilly sitting outside in the evening. Entertainment was low key but okay. There was no welcome drinks on arrival. The management team were very distant to their customers and some waiters did not acknowledge their guests. Overall the customer service was good especially the reception team who were very helpful. In the bar terrace restaurant area we found customer service lacking on occasions. For us there needs to be changes to menu and layout of the restaurant. Hence rating this hotel 4 stars. Tips. Book the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis and sample the cuisine from the local restaurants. English newspapers are scarce! There are a couple of kiosks in the main square which sell them. 10 minute walk Local SPAR shop. Walk a bit further along the promenade. You will find the prices get cheaper.

This hotel is in a great position, with the beach across the walkway and the city at the back. The beach is lovely and you can have good long walks on the walkway. The staff are very good, especially Rueben and Moises in the bar next to the rooftop swimming pool. The hotel is exceptionally clean, both in the public areas and in the bedrooms. We paid for a sea view room, which unfortunately do not get the sun until about five o' clock. The room was very good and the bathroom was very spacious with an excellent power shower. Lots of toiletries, but I felt that they should have included body lotion. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice, but we didn't really enjoy the buffet dinners. Some nights really struggled to find things we liked. If we stayed again, we would stay on a bed and breakfast basis because there are lots of restaurants nearby.

Stayed there before , but this year the buffet was not very good, Still enjoyed the spa and warm swimming pool, as the weather was a bit cold! The staff in the garden terrace were not very friendly ! It could do with a better entertainments in the evenings! and it was good that they have put the entertainments in the main reception as last year it was in the bar on the 7th floor and not a lot of people went. The sun beds on the beach was very difficult to get after 11, and it seems the person working for the hotel was off from 1 to 3 !!!!

Couldn’t fault the hotel, staff, location, facilities and food. We had a fantastic 3 night break at the Reina Isabel, so much so that we’d choose the hotel again in future. So calm and relaxing, and extremely reasonable. Loved it!
