We stayed at Wyndham Apartments for the weekend on a girls weekend. The receptionist on arrival and at check out were very nice, accommodating and made sure we were well looked after. The room was a good size and very clean and new. It was such a good experience and everyone who worked there made sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible which made it nice being there. If you are at the gold coast and wanting to stay somewhere central, affordable while also really nice- this place wont disappoint!
One would think if somewhere was going to try and get you to purchase shares into their hotel tomorrow that you'd get a half decent room on arrival. One that didn't smell like rotten eggs for one. You would probably include a view, of something more like able than a dreg looking apartment building. And a little higher up than the second level. It's honestly terrible. When I looked up the Wyndham rooms online everything looked nice. Not wjatbwe got. They don't have a bathtubs. There is no tv in the bedroom, the one bedroom apartments or if there is they must be in the higher up level of the Wyndham rooms that my partner and I weren't privy too. The only good thing is the fact it's a self contained apartment with a dishwasher and a washing machine and dryer. Otherwise. Terrible.
It was a nice resort and close to the main attractions in Surfers Paradise. Rooms were very spacious. We own a Wyndham membership and going to the presentation took too much time out of our holiday as we were only there for 3 days. Once again the sales people were very convincing to up grade and really don't take no for an answer.
Wyndham Surfers Paradise Qld is a modern , up to date accommodation . Not super luxury but approx 3.5 star rating. On arrival the staff are friendly and informative. A little offputting was the use of the general open seating lounge area being used for a seminar of some type. Our room/1 bedroom apartment is fully self contained with everything from full size fridge down to a bottle opener. It was clean and neat, roomy and comfortable, with Good size balcony ,and we had a hinterland view. We used the pool and spa and ordered poolside drinks. There is a downstairs BBQ area for customers use near the pool area. Great for families. The bar closes early evening. Being right in the centre of Surfers Paradise , other than plenty of restaurants immediately around the hotel, the light rail is at the front door taking you either to Southport or Pacific Fair shopping precinct. Very convenient . Will be easy to use for Commonwealth Games in 2018. Hotel is 2 blocks from beach, markets, so an easy walking distance. Access to hotel is by lift , escalator or stairs. Wheelchair/disability friendly.
We stayed at the Wyndham for a week. The first day, we were advised to attend a Wymdham 'Information Session' where we can also receive free tickets as a gift for attending the event. When we got to the presentation next morning we were told its a sales presentation. We were forced to buy Wyndham memberships. When I say forced, 2 people tried to sell it to us when we declined the offer from the first sales person. They were very pushy when we kept saying that we cant give an answer straight away. Paying a 3k deposit and going into a 30k debt for some rewards program is not something we can give an answer on straightaway. This was a very cheap membership drive from Wyndham. Yes it was our decision to attend the presentation but being pushed to buy the membership by 2 other people because we declined the offer from the 1st sales person is not acceptable. Staying at this place was a disappointment from day 2. The bed was very uncomfortable. You can actually feel the spring. The only upside is the apartments are spacious. We won't every be staying at this place or recommend it to anyone.
Excellent .. lots of room..very helpful.. great space in the room with the layout has everything you need.. views are amazing the swimming pool is lovely.. would definatly book again and location is perfect.. car park is brill too
We stayed at the Wyndham Surfers paradise for 4 nights in one of their 2 bedroom apartments. The rooms were really spacious with a good size balcony for chilling. I loved the pool and the free wifi in the pool area. The size of the apartments was perfect for my family of 4. We were able to host visitors there and have lunch and dinner in the apartment. Excellent location with the beach and shopping in walking distance. Trams were also available right outside the apartments as well and there was ample parking in the carpark for our vehicle.
We booked the Wyndham hotel as it was a good location for getting around the Gold Coast. The hotel room was as seen in the web site and we was not disappointed with it. It was a self catering apartment and had all the facilities we needed if we wanted to cook a meal in. The hotel provided tea and coffee in the room which was handy after such a long flight. We also had soap powder and dishwasher powder provided so we did not need to purchase these. The rooms where clean and tidy and we where very happy with our stay. We stayed there for 3weeks and the room service came in each week. Beach towels where provided just ask at reception. Sam on reception and his team where very helpful if we needed anything and any issues we had where quickly resolved. Location was good for the beach and the tram lines to get round the Gold Coast. Eating in the hotel was ok was just fast food type but lots of restaurants around so lots of choice if you went out and all in walking distance. I would recommend this hotel and if we visit the Gold Coast again l would stay here again.
As a member of Wyndham, I would be ashamed for a guest staying at this hotel. Having reviewed the issues through wyndham website with no feedback, I will continue here. Having secured a room under their rewards program the room was sub standard. Light fitting hanging out from bathroom ceiling other light not even working. Clothes dryer inoperable with broken door switch. Big space on bedroom wall where TV missing. Room clean but knocked around. Staff friendly but unable to address issue as obviously junior. Said he would record but that's it. Not happy to see where my owner money doesn't go. My first use of your rewards program. Obviously you get the substandard room as part of the deal.
There was one slight hitch when we arrived - I had booked a room with an ocean view and that was not the room initially got. However after a quick chat with Sam the Manager we were moved to an ocean view room the next morning. I had booked back in Dec 2016 but they said it wasn't noted. Hmmm could have been the travel agent...........don't know but in the end they made sure we got the holiday we came for. Thanks to all the staff at the Wyndam Gold Coast (especially Georgia whose smile made my day) and Sam who bent over backwards to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Things to note: There are a couple of things to be aware of before staying here - 1) if you are driving or hiring a car you will notice the arrows in undercover parking are on the right to go in. I found it really confusing as I automatically went to go to the left. 2) Not a biggie - don't rely on the food service. It's very basic. And the 'scrambled' eggs at breakfast are like one big stodge. Perhaps they could just cook a few fried eggs so one can help themselves. The room looked exactly as it showed on their website photos. No surprises there.
