Having stayed a few times, I thought I should finally post a review on the hotel. From the minute you check in, the staff are greeting you with a smile. Janette is always happy to answer any questions you may have. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. The bathrooms are a little dated however have everything you need inside including great water pressure. The bed is the most comfortable you will ever sleep in with a great size TV in front of it. Free wifi is always a bonus and the speed is well above average. The hotel has a nice restaurant inside offers both breakfast and dinner. The young girl working in the breakfast area makes a great coffee. Will definitely return next time I am back up that way.

Had a great stay. Very clean rooms and excellent view. Kids liked the pool. We stayed on Thursday so the hotel had kids eat free for dinner which was very nice. Not sure when will next visit Gladstone but will return to the hotel. Call direct they give great member rates.

the staff were great but the hotel was very out dated. the rooms were dirty and looked liked they need a good clean. looks like its time for an update. when I was in the bathroom it looked like I was in the 60's

A fairly old 4 story Hotel. Great location 🚶🚶🚶 to all the good restaurants. Rooms are large with the always comfitable Rydges bed. The CBD Restaurant in Rydges is also excellent quality and price. Bar and restaurant lady Chess was a wonderful host. The pool was a welcome refreshing experience before a few beers. I stayed two nights on this my second stay at this hotel and will certainly stay there on my next visit. The Grand Hotel 75 metres up the hill is an iconic Queenslander Hotel with great draft beer 🍺🍺🍺 and TAB. Down the hill is the Gladstone Art Centre and museum 👀 Well worth a visit.

When you travel for business, if the room is clean, neat, tidy and everything works it is a great start. The air con is cold and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is an enjoyable stay, but at the end of the day if it is clean and these are very clean that is great

I have stayed in both the self-contained apartments across the road and at the main hotel on many different occasions through the last year and have always found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. They are always willing to help you with anything you may need and act swiftly to help. They were also extremely helpful with catering to my partners coeliac disease and dairy intolerance with breakfast and dinner alternatives along with soy milk options for coffee. Also flexible if you decided to extend your stay to continue enjoying their comfy beds, pillows and black out curtains. Well stocked mini bar with a variety of different options to choose from, well complemented by the well priced in room dinning services and down stairs restaurant which offerers a different special for each weekday dinner. Cannot emphasise enough how friendly and welcoming each and every staff member has been every time I've stayed from the reception staff to the house keeping and service staff you see throughout the hotel.

I have stayed at a few Rydges hotels and they are very mixed in quality. The room was okay but to get the aircon working I had to turn it off, take out the room key and then turn everything back on. There were old bottlecaps under the curtains near the window showing that the room hadn't really been thoroughly cleaned. I will use Rydges if I have to but the quality is pretty consistently average. The WIFI was next to useless,

I stayed here over the Xmas - new yr break. The hotel is ok, a little bit of a throw back to the 1980s but the rooms have been semi refurbished and are ok. The issue was the hotel was almost empty and partially closed, signs and communications everywhere that there is no bar, restaurant, room service or even housekeeping ! I know it's a quieter time but wow Happy new yr !

I have stayed here a couple of times now for work and every time I've stayed I have eaten in the restaurant and the food has been amazing and good value for money. This time I had pasta and I could barely finish it. The rooms are a good size, I think the air conditioner is older than me but it still worked well although a little louder than I'd have liked. Great central location .

We stopped overnight at Rydges Gladstone on a recent road trip through the area. On arrival, we were greeted by Clive, the Manager, with a warm and friendly greeting. We had a room overlooking the pool and distant ocean views. The room itself has had a facelift and the amenities were in good condition. The room was clean and comfortable and had a small balcony. The bathroom had a bathtub and plenty of room on the vanity, but needs to be updated with new tapware and maintenance issues, as it is showing its age. Our room rate included breakfast which is served in the downstairs dining room. On site parking is available on ground level at the rear of the building. On check-out we were attended to by Janette, who facilitated an easy and courteous check-out. The Hotel is situated in the main shopping precinct of Gladstone and is in walking distance to the newly opened East Shores Water Park, which is worth a look.
