Rydges Gladstone

Whilst the room was functional it could certainly do with a revamp & an update. The air conditioner was noisy, shower over bath (with clingy shower curtain) was less than impressive. There were no plates/saucers & one teaspoon was the only price of cutlery. Room service/ cleaners were excellent, they cleaned the room daily & did a good job with what they had to work with. The table & chair didn't match which made it very difficult to work on computer (felt like I had to fly/reach up) to type. No Wi-Fi even though it was advertised. Feel the price did not reflect the expectations.

Will not stay here again, dated old joint. Needs a reno, comfortable bed and the shower is ok but the place is tired. Plenty of options in Gladstone, give this place the flick!!!!! Reception staff have no idea, as a visitor I asked for suggestions for different things ie:- eating, late night chemist, goods bars ect NOTHING, whilst they are sitting there doing stuff all do some homework on the area, her answer to everything was “I live on the other side of town” seriously 🤔

Older style hotel which doesn’t offer all the bells and whistles of newer style accomodation. Room was clean, tidy and functional but I thought the decor was rather mismatched. Looks like a degree of modernising has been done and now it’s neither here nor in here. Polite and friendly staff. Central location. Breakfast a little disappointing as it was a Luke warm buffet. Opted for some raisin toast on one morning and that felt particularly stale when I took from bread bin.

Was there for a night. Room was well furnished and the bed was comfy. Went downstairs to their restaurant and it took an hour for my food to arrive. and apparently, they ran out of pasta. Overall though very friendly staff.

Older property. Clean, comfortable room. Great check in, check out failure (IT). V poor service on a Tuesday night in restaurant (only one staff on) - went elsewhere. Free wifi couldn't even load a page so of little value.

Not sure whether a refurbishment was done there, rooms looks super new, nice and spacious. Hotel has its own parking so you dont have to park on the street. Heaps of restaurant around and hotel has its own nice restaurant with attractive menu.

We enjoyed the great mattresses and pillows, quality bedding, the view, the room-service desserts that we ordered, the helpful service at reception, organic bath products, pool with a view and it's just a beautiful big hotel.

Brilliant hosts , fabulous pool and great rooms Nice balcony with a view to the harbour very comfortable beds , very private and quiet , stayed 9 nights and never heard anyone else Bathrooms are clean and basic , very hot water with good water pressure Great rates and free parking

We love the Rydges chai and this hotel was great! Really quiet, friendly staff and reasonable rates, took really good care of us and very family friendly, would stay again! Kids really enjoyed the pool and we loved that it was close to everything and within walking distance to lots of great eating places

We recently stayed here after being stuck in Gladstone after a car accident while we were travelling. The staff were highly attentive and lovely. The hotel is older, but it was clean and tidy. It is in a good location, close to everything we needed. The wifi was free as was the car parking. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were great. Although we had a slight mishap with my son cutting his foot on some glass in the pool, the hotel dealt with it professionally and promptly by closing the pool, draining and cleaning it before refilling it. The also offered us a complimentary night stay and dinner. While we had a terrible few days, the outstanding effort from the staff here made a hard time much more bearable.
