This is an old-fashioned European hotel of the kind I remember from the 80s. The room had a sink but the shower and toilet were across the hall. Very clean. Minimal space, but a decent bed. I had my window open for ventilation, so some city noise. I stayed just one night before leaving for home and I got just what I bargained for: inexpensive and a 6-minute walk to the train platform to go to the airport.

The location was very good, the hotel very simple to stay 1 o 2 night

Geneva is an expensive city. A friend and I booked this hotel because it was the only one in our budget located downtown. The location is great. The rooms are fine, no frills but they get the job done. Breakfast was better than expected. All the baked goods (baguettes, croissants, and cookies) were fresh and delicious. The front desk people were very helpful.

very practical solution for a 16 hour layover in beautiful Geneva. Thanks for the recommendations and amazing location and excellent food and transportation references.

I stayed here because it was one of the few places I could stay on my budget. The room was tiny and I but comfortable, the staff was extremely helpful, and everywhere I had to/wanted to be (conference center, old town, lake, etc.) was easily accessible. Free wireless and public transportation (provided by the hotel, a common courtesy in Geneva I understand) was also extremely helpful. Would happily stay again.

The hotel has many advantages for a budget place to stay in Geneva. It is only about 3 blocks from the main train station, or the first tram/bus stop (# 3, 5, or 14). These same lines will take you to the south side of the Rhone where you can connect to many locations, and you receive an all-day free pass from the hotel. Practically across the street is the Manor Dept Store, which has a marvelous buffet/cafeteria restaurant on the top floor, and great food to take out in the lowest floor. Common bathrooms and rooms were maintained spotlessly, and in February it was very warm and cozy. You have a good sized lavatory sink in your own room. I found the continental breakfasts adequate and of good quality. The staff was definitely helpful, but be warned that no one is at the desk after about 10:30 PM. They were helpful in printing train tickets bought on line and also boarding passes. I would certainly stay here again.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Included breakfast was meager. Room was microscopic in size. On-hall shower/toilet was filthy. Convenient to train and bus connections but extremely noisy and in a rough area. Would not recommend nor stay again.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and the location could not get any better. Continental breakfast was delicious, rooms were very clean and had everything in them one could need. It is on a small street so is quiet. I got there early after an all night flight and was welcomed and immediately given a free fare card so I could go out and see the city (including take the taxi boats across the lake).

good hotel to stay in the heart of Geneva. rooms are small but very clean. Beds are not very big, so staying with baby may be not comfortable. Breakfasts are good. The good and economy place to stay during sightseeing tour.
