Good info and communication on when to arrive etc. however, the place we stayed had many problems and I called the first day to request that several of them be corrected immediately....had to leave a message with return number etc....NO ONE CALLED ME BACK!!! there were many issues, fireplaces didn't work, garbage disposal didn't work, lower level (where two of the three bedrooms were) had no heat. the place is in bad repair and a mere shadow of how it used to be when it had owners who kept the place in good working order. the shades in the loft, and the lower level could not be raised so the "Views" were not accessible, furniture was is disrepair, hot tub water was not clean, master bedroom bath light in the toilet room did not work, dishwasher is literally held together with duct tape, trash compacter broken, .....I could go on but why bother when you couldn't even return my phone all.

Disappointed

It was clean and beds were comfortable. For the high price however, we were very disappointed in how outdated everything was. Leather was worn off couch, patio furniture was old and uncomfortable, wallpaper peeling off walls, material torn and hanging underneath bar stools, cover for hot tub was torn up, and bathrooms had old disconnected telephone right next to toilets.

Best view of the smokies

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Barbies Destiny Chalet with a million dollar view. We come every year and stay up ski mountain road. The view was the best we have ever had. This home is over the top and quite unique. That was the appeal for us. It didnt disappoint with its massive king suites and ginormous rooms. The lighting system is a learning curve. Took us a minute to figure out all the lights and I just loved the vintage nutone speakers in every room. The only thing that I would change is more trash receptacles in every room and liquid hand soap at all the sinks. This place is extravagant and reminds you of the tv show "Dallas" with the extravagant staircase and all the extra rooms. Its got a 90's mansions feel to it. My kids, who are millenials, really thought it was cool. It certainly took me back as I went through the 90's. If you are looking for a unique experience and different from your usual cabin and log homes normally found in Gatlinburg, then this is your place.

Happy to get away

The chalet was fine but it had many issues that are problematic. All of the step ups and step downs are an accident waiting to happen. Although the view is beautiful, there is no way to block the sun during the day. You need curtains or blinds. The lighting is dim, particularly in the bathrooms.

July vacation

Amazing house in the mountains above Gatlinburg. Awesome views of the mountains and we saw bears almost every day. Everything was clean and we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Thank you for a wonderful week!

Amazing weekend!

This home was perfect for our family! Lots of space, amazing views, great little spot for a pack n play, and a nice area for morning yoga overlooking the mountains off the master bedroom. Highly recommend!
