The room was lovely, and the bed was comfortable. Our hostess, Joellen, was friendly and courteous. She makes a mean waffle! Since we were the only guests that evening, we had a lovely conversation with her. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to Galveston.

We arrived for check-in and were greeted by the manager. She showed us the details of the room like the airco/heater. Our room was clean, beautiful, charming, and filled with antiques. It was like staying at a wealthy uncle and aunt's house. I thought a lot about the history of the house and wondered who might have been to parties there a hundred years ago. The neighborhood was quiet, and pretty close to the Strand and the beach. We'd definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay.

Such a beautiful house! We had a great stay at the house in the Grocer's Room. We were greeted upon check in with a beverage and they had alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to us. It was a nice walk to the shore. Breakfast was amazing.
