As described. Close to night life and restaurants.

The property if fine, but the parking situation is less than ideal. $20 per day to the valet or $25 per day in the garage. The pool is the size of most hot tubs.

The property had no free parking. Their parking garage cost $25, or their valet service was $20 per a day and street parking was difficult.

This used to be a nice hotel. The property looks ok. The main problem is a breakfast area where the was a lingering unpleasant smell of a moldy wet rag. The breakfas

We were only there for the long weekend. Had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was very nice and the area is full of a variety of restaurants and night life spots.

Great downtown location, plenty of restaurants nearby. Big room, great bedding, fridge and microwave

I stayed three days at the Gainesville Hampton and was quite pleased with the accommodations and experience.

Staff was very courteous and friendly. Ran out of towels and had to go get clean towels from front desk. Overall clean and pleasant stay.

I did not plan to stay at this hotel. I was driving to FL and stopped at Gainesville FL to have a decent meal. Saw this hotel and booked a room, used 47 Orbucks . The hotel was good, did not smell, room was comfortable, breakfast was better then usual for a chain hotel. Overall I am happy, it was a nice change from the I-95 routine!

Very happy with this hotel! Location, service ,free shuttle to game. The breakfast bar was great had very nice selection.

in town one night for business at UF during the summer. Great location. Well appointed. Hope to stay again in the future.

Great location. Friendly staff. I highly recomend the shrimp & scallop orleans at Harry's across the street.

The Hampton Inn was a perfect spot for visiting the Univ of Florida. It's an easy 10 minute drive from the Gainesville airport and about 5 minutes from UF. Also, Hampton Inn provides an airport shuttle. Free/visitor parking was not usually available throughout the city including UF, so be aware that if a sign says NO PARKING OR YOUR VEHICLE WILL BE TOWED, it WILL be. The Hampton Inn has a parking garage for which you pay $5 a day. This is cheaper than anywhere else, so take advantage of it. There are many shops and restaurants and churches within walking distance, as in right across the street or on the adjoining blocks. Hampton Inn was extremely clean and the staff is knowledgeable about the area. And their free breakfast on the second floor is outstanding.

My family was in Gainesville for a University of Florida campus tour and basketball game. Although the hotel is in downtown Gainesville and a little way from campus, it was still close enough to be convenient. Our room was spacious, well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was great. Even my teenager's appetite was satisfied. We will plan on staying here again.
