First, yes it is a motel 6. That being said, ohhhh man. The room was teeny tiny. We paid $140 on a Tuesday night. No coffee, no lotion, no shampoo, no freaking alarm clock. The itty bitty room was clean though. And right off hwy 198.
Motel 6 Lemoore, Ca. 5/27/16 – 5/29/16 We found this Motel 6 to be very nice. Over the past few years Motel 6 has been remodeling and building new up to date units. We had a very nice and quiet room #123. The young lady at the front desk went out of her way to help us with a reservation problem. Thank you very much. Cap & Virginia
We had a fridge that did not work. Desk said they would put another in and did not over the 3 days we spent there. We had medications that needed to be in the fridge and they basically ignored us. I told them the next day. Said they would replace the fridge and again the fridge was warm and the freezer part was also warm. Not acceptable.
Stopped here on our way from joshua tree to pinnacles. Booked online and front desk Charged us a "premium" for having 2 people in the room. Didn't want to stay right by the high way, this is just far enough to be quiet and not too far for the extra driving from highway 5. Looks way better than a regular motel 6 from outside (more like a hotel). But inside rooms did need serious updates, tube TV, no shampoo, old everything. Water is very slippery but could be the area. We had to keep our window open for about 30 minutes to refresh the air, it smelled like harsh chemicals when we first arrived. I did leave 3 starts because everything aside, it was very quiet and we got a great night of sleep, which served its purpose.
Stopped here on way south, liked the hotel, had a little trouble getting to it as gps was not aware of new road construction. Stayed on second floor, pretty warm getting off the elevator as the ice machine radiates heat. Very helpful staff, very pet friendly
We stayed here because of the great price and we were super happy with the cleanliness and size of our room. Definitely recommend this hotel. Conveniently located next to a gas station. Only wish they had a pool :)
We really like the location, right off the #198 between town and the casino. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Basic clean amenities for the most reasonable price. The best asset: we get to bring our doggie for no extra extreme charge. Our 4lb, 15 year old baby would not survive without us. Thank You! ;)
This is a typical Motel 6. The room we had was small but we did have a microwave and small refrigerator. There are probably other rooms that larger. There is not any place to eat within walking distance. You have to drive into the town of Lemoore to find someplace to eat. The staff was very nice and helpful. We travel with a small dog and stay at Motel 6 a lot. I would stay at this one again.
We needed to stop and sleep en route from Big Sur to Sequoia. There were probably places to stay closer to Sequoia, but it was late, we were tired, and didn't want to push our luck. Lemoor had vacancy and fair priced lodging, so we aimed our sights on it. After nearly being scared off by the guest checking in ahead of me, the Motel 6 was mostly what we'd expect. The room smelled pleasant but beds needed updating. They were also small, full sized. No extras - shampoo upon request. Upon leaving in the morning daylight, we could see that Lemoor is a very agricultural area with a very strong smell. We would likely not stop there again, but it did the job for a night's sleep and hot shower.
When visiting my in-laws in Lemoore, we're typically staying at the Best Western Hotel. However, this time around the hotel and other surrounding accommodations where booked due to some local events. Thus, we were forced to stay a night at the Motel 6 in Lemoore. As the on-ramp that would connect the hotel to the highway is not finished yet, it is quite adventurous to find your way to the motel. Once you arrive you feel like not even coyotes would come to such remote location and for female travelers it appears not really a safe place at all. Check-in services where okay, but the room was in terrible condition. It looked like a price boxer had stayed there the night before, as multiple holes in the bedroom and bathroom walls indicated someone having some anger issues. The TV is from the 20th century and besides hand soap the motel is not even providing tissue or any other amenities. In addition, the refrigerator rattled the entire night, keeping me awake and therefore voiding the benefit of booking a room in the first place. Considering the $80+ charge per night, the experience doesn't even come close to what I have seen over the years from the Motel 6 chain. Typically, Motel 6 offers a safe stay with affordable prices and basic amenities. At least their customer services team at headquarters responded after leaving them honest feedback in an online survey a couple days after we returned from our stay. So at least somebody seems to care about the condition of their properties. If you're looking for a place to stay while visiting Lemoore, your best choice would be the Best Western or Vineyard Inn.
