Lovely hotel along the gorgeous Saint John River. Perfect for staying the weekend, a week's holiday or even just to enjoy a meal and the view! Staff are very kind, very professional. A jewel in a very pretty city.
Just spent a great fall season week-end in Fredericton, NB. We stayed at the Delta Hotel and had a great time. Our fifth floor room had a gorgeous view of the St. John river and the trees with their pretty fall color change. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, with very comfortable beds. There is a beautiful river walk from the hotel to downtown Fredericton, which we went on daily, during our stay. I also want to mention the food in the dining room is absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, often using local ingredients. Friendly front desk/reception/dining room staff- people with always helpful information, made our stay even more pleasant. Thanks Delta Fredericton, for your tremendous hospitality.
Beautiful views of the river from the 7th floor, the room was spacious, extremely clean and quiet. Easy access parking, the time between waiting for elevators and getting to your room is unusually short for a hotel this size. Each floor has a snack room, the room itself has a small coffee maker. Definitely recommend including your breakfast when getting a room - you're allowed up to $41 per couple and it's well worth the investment.
We had a nice spacious, clean room and the bed was very comfortable. It was very busy and noisy when we stayed as there was a big wedding party. There is a restaurant on site, which was empty. Overall not a bad place to stay.
During a recent business trip I stayed 3 nights at the Delta in Fredericton. I could mention a number of things that made it a positive experience but let me spotlight one that really stood out. Fany. She was a server at the Grab-n-Go cafe. I had several interactions with Fany over the 3 days. What a lovely person. Warm, engaging, professional, proactive, knowledgable - just a stellar example of why people are so critical to a business. If I wasn't quite sure about a menu item, she had a recommendation. She answered every question I had. After we introduced, she referred to by name. Seeing me more than once in a day she would ask about how my day went. She offered pleasant conversation - neither banal nor intrusive. Yes, my experience at the Delta overall was very positive. Yet what truly stood out, were my interactions with Fany.
Absolutely humongous hotel that always seems extremely busy. We had a room on the third floor that was close enough to a wedding for us to feel we were at the reception. The whole room thumped to the boom of the music. We complained and they did offer to move us but I was too tired after a long day so they asked for it to be turned down. That worked quite well until the Dr UK guests came up to our floor to go to bed. We should have been told about this wedding when we checked in. How were we to know how close our room would be to all this noise.
The Delta is all the things we value in Marriott - clean, friendly, convenient. River-view room had great sunset views and even a close-up bold eagle sighting. A twenty-minute walk along the river takes you into downtown Fredericton which itself can be crossed in twenty minutes.
We stayed at the Delta Fredericton, New Brunswick, on our travels through New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. I picked this hotel because it is a Marriott property and Marriott can be counted on for cleanliness and comfort. This hotel did not disappoint in either area. The room, common areas and property were clean. The room was comfortable, especially the bed. Our room had a wonderful view of the river. The hotel has a dock which gave a great picture of the sunset. But the dock bounced quite a bit when walked upon so if you stay there and walk out on it, be slow and steady! The only downer to the property is that it is need of an update. The room carpet needed to be replaced and the A/C probably needs to be refreshed. The indoor pool and sauna were in the process of being remodeled so hopefully this effort will continue to the rooms. We dined in the restaurant on site. Normally, hotel restaurants are not the best available, but the meal we had was excellent. The food was quite good and the service was top-notch. In all, I would stay here again.
We have stayed here several times, and have yet to not be impressed. Extremely tidy rooms and public areas, excellent location that's easy to get too (and somewhat away from hugely dense traffic), and close enough to shops. Staff is always courteous and quick, and the lobby is well decorated.
Had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for 5 nights while attending the Canadian Chamber of Commerce's Annual General Meeting, The Delta location is an excellent one for getting out onto the walking / biking paths that run around Fredericton, it also provides great views of the river. The excellent service starts with the front-desk and continues with house-keeping as well as good restaurants and bar choices & service. I do have to give a BIG shout out for the dinner that was put on for the Fredericton C of C's host dinner. As an Ontario raised individual we don't have the accessibility to the wonderful seafood our hosts were able to provide. The hotel and the Fredericton C of C provided us with one of the best and most varied dinners I have had the pleasure of ever having at any meeting or convention I have attended. My hat goes off to both, one for being the host and the Delta / Marriot for providing such and outstanding meal.
