Beautifully located on the river bank with large terrace and reasonable restaurant with outdoor tables. Outdoor and indoor swimming pool. Just a step down and you are on a long jogging path along St John river - great. Room are spacious, renovated bathroom, everything you need. Room functioned well but was not breathtaking. Solid 4*+.
We stayed 3 times over 10 days, once on our way to Maine, back for a conference, left for PEI and came back the night we flew out. Requested a river view for the 3 night stay. The river side is updated, new bathrooms with showers instead of baths, newer carpet and decor. The parking lot side is more dated. Beautiful patio on the river to sit and have a drink. Extremely friendly staff, except on the beautiful patio. My husband ordered a Corona, he was told there weren't any, then we proceeded to watch them serve the next table 8 Coronas. Twice. We were with a large group and we all found this amusing. (This is a general note to Delta/Marriott. Improve your wines by the glass. (Were in Banff in Feb, same problem). Very poor, low quality selection.)
Stayed at this property during a business visit to Fredericton. The Hotel is located about 2 KMs away from the downtown. It's right on the banks of the picturesque Saint John river, walking distance from the Governor's House. The property is fairly large and have several restaurants. It has hot tub, swimming pool, exercise area etc. The rooms are kept very clean with attention to detail. For a small fee, I was upgraded to the River View room (check out the pictures from the room during the day and evening). It's totally worth! The staff is very helpful and manage even large group of check in without any issue. Sure to try food at their restaurants. All in all, highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Fredericton, NB.
I stayed one night at the Delta in Fredericton. The hotel is well located but right downtown. The staff if friendly and check-in was fast. The room is clean and has everything including a safe. You need to be cautious with noise because you can easily hear people across the walls. I was there for business so Internet is important and found no issue with my connectivity. I didn't watch Netflix though. You have a restaurant in the lobby so no need to go out to have your dinner et the bar-club to have a last drink before going to bed. I would return to the Delta in Fredericton.
Rooms are modern, spacious, clean, very comfortable - roomy bathroom with very up to date tub, sink, excellent shower. Bedding, pillows and towels were all good. Each morning we ate our breakfast at the restaurant which was very good.We would certainly stay here again.
I stayed at the hotel again in June 2017, and although on the surface it seems to be the same great hotel, it seems that a few things have changed: - On check-in I requested a room with a water view. I was told there is a charge for it. Now, this is my hotel of choice in the Fredericton area, and although I routinely request a water view room, I have never been charged extra for it. Perhaps this was a change that came about under the Marriott banner??? - I thought I'd go to the lounge for a glass of wine and to read my book. The server came by and took my order. I even pointed on the menu to which wine I wanted. She went away, and came back with the wine. When I got my bill I noticed that it was higher than I had expected - the wine I was charged for was $2 more expensive. When I asked the server, she said 'yes, that the price. I poured you that wine instead.' and she proceeded to wait for me to pay. Instead of her taking accountability for her mistake, she still expected me to pay for the more expensive wine. I then had to have to awkward conversation about how I was only going to pay for what I ordered. It wound up being ok in the end - she changed the bill, but it was an odd experience. - I found that the fridge in my room had not been cleaned... in awhile. There were empty wine bottles, yogurt containers, and something unrecognizable. I didn't realize this until I was close to checking out, so it wasn't a huge deal for me. Still though. Cleaning staff couldn't have looked at it lately... - The (empty) gym had a number of used water cups scattered around the room when I went in for my workout. Again, not a big deal, but anyone having a quick peek at the room would have noticed it. - The snack/coffee bar didn't have anyone actively working at it. The restaurant staff seemed to ignore our requests for assistance. One even said that she didn't work out there (and kept going). By the time someone did show up (about 7 minutes later) there were 8 of us in lineup. No coffee in the morning? The horrors! None of these things are a dealbreaker for me. The hotel is still nice, and the location is great. I hope that they can clean things up a bit and restore the type of great experience I've had in previous years!
We both had a fantastic stay. The hotel room was very clean and staff was very friendly. We got great dinner recommendations from guest services and they accommodated our pet with some feeding dishes . The room was very clean and it is clear that they value having a good experience on their property.
We recently stayed at this property ,and the evening after check out ,our daughter realized she left behind her security blanket (DouDou)that she always has to sleep .We only realized when it was time to go to bed ,that it was left behind :( after calling Dawn at front desk (the real saviour ).... Dawn went over an beyond any expectation to help us out ,the DouDou was found ,and offered to have it shipped the next morning to our residence which my daughter was happy ....thank you Dawn for everything ,and Ken who as always makes sure we have everything we need after he checked us in Thank you both our family as always had a great stay ,and why we will soon return Cheers
Salads fresh, vegetables cooked well and served hot. The fish was more than adequate. The staff was friendly and served us quickly even though we arrived late in the evening. The parking lot was almost full but space was found. it was a good experience.
Rooms are modern, spacious, clean, very comfortable - we had 2 queen beds with lots of room for luggage, roomy bathroom with very up to date tub, sink, grab bars around tub, excellent shower. Bedding, pillows and towels were excellent. River view was worth the extra $20 as we were very close to the river - although view over the parking lot to the street also pleasant as a treed residential area. Restaurant was very good - also overlooking the river - and there is a pleasant bar. We would stay here again.
