I checked in for two nights on business travel and I was allocated one of the newly refurbished rooms on the 4th floor. The check in experience was fine. The room was smart but freezing cold. I adjusted the thermostat but it did not seem to make any difference so got the duvet out of the wardrobe and actually had a good night's sleep - the issue was that the wall mounted heater also needed to be manually turned on to make the heating work. Schoolboy error on my part I know. There was a complimentary bottle of beer in the fridge, but no opener to be found. The toiletries were minimal but lots of new fluffy towels. The decor was typical for this sort of hotel - nothing special. I was surprised not to have a couple of bottles of water available, and plastic cups in plastic bags in the loo seemed cheap...other hotel manage glass glasses so why not here. The breakfast was good but everything seems to come with fries. No plain unsweetened yoghurt in sight though, for the more health conscious guest. With a little effort this place could be a lot better but would stay again for sure.

This hotel must have once been grand with it's double staircase and some ornate decor, but it has a lot of run down parts (the elevator looked like it went through a war) and was over priced. It also must have been added to a few times over the years as there are staircases here, there, and everywhere it seems. The hall ways had majorly scuffed paint and the further I went down the hall I thought it got seedier looking. But I was there to sleep so let's get to the room. My room was actually a pretty good size. The entrance was almost claustrophobic but the main room had two queen beds, a desk, an armoire, a side table, and a round table with a couple of chairs, too. The bathroom was clean and bright if a little dinged up. There was a coffee maker, alarm clock, fridge, and device charger. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable. There was $10 pay parking and it was near impossible to find a spot at 4:30PM. My bill was $170+ and I had a conference rate. Breakfast was NOT included. I passed a pool and the air was warm and humid so I assume it was warm inside. The family in there seemed to be enjoying it. I took advantage of no other parts of the hotel . Check in was warm and fast. Though my night was fine, I probably will not return.

This old building makes for a charming looking hotel. Apparently some of the rooms have been renovated and are supposed to be nice. I can say from my experience DO NOT accept any of the rooms near the pool and fitness area! The rooms are drab and dark, there is a lot of noise in the hallway near the pool. Also, the walls between the rooms are very thin and you will hear your neighbours...watching TV...opening and closing their bathroom door...or whatever else! On a positive note, the hotel has a good location downtown and the staff are friendly. Overall my view is, this hotel is not worth $200/night. Next time I'm in Fredericton I will choose a different hotel.

I stayed 2 nights attending a conference nearby. There appears to be a main hotel (looks nice and probably the source of most of the room photos online), and an older, unrenovated west-wing. I stayed in the west wing, and was disappointed by the room condition: major tears in the drapes, dusty carpet, scratched fixtures, stained bedspreads... not what I was expecting at a Crowne Plaza. On the plus side, all my interactions with the staff were very positive. They are doing the customer service side of the operation well.

Staying there right now for a conference. There has been a tray of dirty dishes in hall way for second day. It is right by the elevator. I have seen it 12 times. It is aging niicely. The non renovated room I have is acceptable but more in line with a motel, everything works but no fridge no safe closet. Definately below Crowne standards and not to the levell I would have expected. people at The Delta are much happier.

Hotel room - Room 119- had thin walls and doors to both adjoining rooms with the result that I had to hear my neighbour's conversations and tv shows - added to the fact that room was opposite the pool entrance - made it extremely noisy. Beyond that hotel room was neither modern - no room safe - nor classic meant that there was not much character or convenience Only good thing was location beside Beaverbook art gallery.

We are Marriot junkies. We always stay at the Delta, but their pool was closed and we decided to stay @ the Crowne Plaza. The front desk lady, Debbie was amazing & the manager Ryan was an an absolutely great guy. We saw a comedy show, ate lots of gluten free food, and witnessed a zombie walk (no joke) and renaissance people randomly walking around town. The Crowne is located in the heart of the city. The pool & gym area are very nice. The terrance restaurant staff is awesome (Thanks Greg), very fun. the updated rooms are classy and we are happy to hear the entire hotel will be updated soon.

The Crowne plaza looks beautiful in the main lobby. There is a grand double staircase with beautiful chandeliers, the perfect spot for a photo op. The front desk staff were very charming and personable as well. The rooms were clean with some updates. The curtains in our room were ripped which meant the light from the convention centre across the street streamed through effortlessly. The room had free coffee and tea but no water. There was a very small mini fridge located beside the bed. There were no house coats and very few towels or toiletries for two guests. The hotel did offer free wifi but it did not work very well. Also the third floor where a relative of ours was staying smelled strongly of urine. The price was comparable to others in the vicinity. 3/5 stars

On our recent tour of the Maritimes, we stayed here 2 nights. Great location, lots of good restaurants in the area. Appreciated the updated room but not the lack of cleanliness. Dust on the headboards and bulbs in the lamps, gum on the wardrobe, top of fridge was dirty and the clock unreadable (maybe it needs an upgrade). Our room was located over the entrance to the parking lot where the garbage truck comes in at 5 am and the kitchen staff smoke. But, what can you do, someone has to stay in those rooms.

The hotel is well-situated in the downtown area. Clean, but a bit dated. Average room size, quiet, with comfortable beds. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Will recommend this hotel. Room service was really nice. The food was great.
