We stayed at the H PLUS overnight on the way from Frankfurt to Baden Baden. The hotel is well located, clean, nice size rooms, good location, excellent breakfast, reasonable price. Beds and mattresses are good and sleep quality very good. Wifi is free and reasonable speed. Parking in the basement garage is not free (10 Euros) but that is a reasonable fee if you do not want to search the streets and risk a fine. I recommend a high floor if possible because the street is just a bit noisy in the morning. Service is good and professional.
I stayed here for 4 nights while travelling for business. The hotel used to be the Ramada. It has had a recent make over. Rooms were clean and buffet breakfast had a wide selection. Staff were helpful, even booking nearby restaurants for us. The only criticism I have is that the single room had a very small single bed. I've attached a picture of it. It was difficult to get a good nights sleep on it. Other colleagues who had also booked a single room were lucky enough to get two beds. Good location but would be great to have a bigger bed.
This was our first stay at the hotel. On check in, we asked whether we could be moved onto same floor where other family members were staying - sorted straight away 😀. The room was spacious, clean. It didnt have tea making facilities but if you ask reception a kettle will be supplied. Breakfast- I have stayed in a few hotels but this hotel certainly offers the best variety of breakfasts. This ranged from traditional german pickled fish dishes, meat, cheeses, jam and honies, fried sausages, bacon, eggs scrambled or boiled etc., flavoured water (made with fresh mint/oranges/lemons), vegetarian spread, croissants, AVOCADO. There was soooo much on offer. The service was excellent and staff were friendly. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
The family room was large with more than enough space for four of us, and very well appointed. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with both continental and American offerings. We thought 10€ for the parking garage was a little steep, but there was plenty of street parking nearby.
Very good hotel Central Friendly staff Not the biggest rooms but nice and clean and the purpose Breakfast restaurants often overcrowded but food is ok Nice bar with good prices and friendly staff most nights
I had always tended to think Ramada hotels were quite posh but the one in Darmstadt is very basic. A large groups of us stayed there this week and whilst the staff were very nice and the breakfast was good, the rooms were very basic - and I say that as one of the 'lucky ones' who got a larger room on what the receptionist called 'the quiet backside' of the hotel (well, you'd not want to be on a noisy backside, would you?) Many of my colleagues got tiny single rooms on the noisy frontside and slept very badly. The hotel was horribly over-heated and it was almost impossible to control that. I'm used to a cold room at night and tried to turn off the radiator without success so slept with the windows open all night. Thank goodness I wasn't on the road side. Bathroom was clean and bright with a spacious shower cubicle and good water pressure. Parking in the basement was a bit weird but not a problem.
It's a standard hotel in Darmstadt; as the usual hotels in Germany nothing different or complete, good wi fi ; parking inside and good rooms ! The bathroom is standard and the service is something level of other ramadas
Its was very spacious room, and stuff prepared a baby bed for us without any our request. it was very pleasant from hotel side. There a free parking in the area of hotel, so you can leave the car just on the street. Super market is just around the corner. Very big bathroom, very comfortable to come with children. We left little but later, but there was no pushing from stuff. Stuff is very friendly and helpfull.
Loved the room, very big (the room with a round wall at the front (406), with a lovely big bathroom. Really clean and lovely big pillows. Water in the rooms, the small things mean a lot when you are tired. Really good breakfast, but not included in the price of the room.
Stayed here midweek for 2 nights & overall I was very satisfied. I arrived well before official check-in time but was able to check in & use my room without any problem which was very welcome. Room was large, spacious & pleasantly warm (just right for late October) which made it very welcoming. Bathroom was also generous size wise with a large shower cubicle & modern reliable shower. Both main & bathroom were very clean & tidy. complimentary water was provided but no tea or coffee. Mine was a single reservation but room had 2 single beds pushed together as a double. I did sleep fairly well but didn't find the bed to be the most comfortable I've experienced in a hotel. Plenty of storage space in the room with a good quality room safe which was very useful. The main road at the front of the hotel is quiet from late evening & can't imagine this causing any issues with disturbed sleep. Breakfast was usual self service continental type & was just ok with nothing out of ordinary or not up to standard. Location wise the hotel is away from main central areas of Darmstadt & is around 15-20 mins. walk from both the main Hauptbahnhof or from the other direction from Luisenplatz. alternatively buslines 7 (&8 ?) run very frequently & stop very close so it's no great inconvenience. It's probably set in more of a residential area but there are a couple of nearby restaurants (Indian, Mexican etc) & in the evening the hotel has it's own restaurant with options of steaks, pasta etc. Front desk staff were very efficient & overall this hotel suited my requirements & was good value for money & I'd be happy to stay here again.
