Very close to the old town, very close to SUBWAY STATION Plarrer, breakfast also very good and the staff was so helpful to help me with the CHARGING ADAPTER . i wish they had rooms with one big king bed too instead of two small single beds, rest everything was great and lovely.
This is a quiet, nice hotel, the staff was welcoming and helpful. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The hotel is a short walk from the old town (10/15 min depending on where you want to go). It's possible to park close to the hotel for free.
The room was very clean and comfortable - despite the two single beds merged into a double -, the bathroom was quite functional and well equipped and the wifi worked just fine. There's transport near, but, as the city's not that big and we were just visiting, we did everything on foot. I'd definitely recommend.
Hotel is quite good. It is near of Plärrer subway station and the storic city of nuremberg. Rooms were ok, clean and big enough. Service was correct, include some chocolates and water as courtesy and lemonade on reception. Hotel also include a reataurant on the ground floor that we didn't visit
I stayed here with my girlfriend for 5 nights (8-13th December 2017) while we were visiting Nuremberg for the Christmas markets. The hotel was in a great location for that, with the city center being only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel room was clean and really modern, stylish and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and spoke fantastic English. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, no complaints at all.
9 Nights Business stay - ++ Good Location - Near Plarerr U Tube , Almost City Center Clean , Good Breakfast but repetitive , Quite Rooms. -- Walk to nearest U tube 400Mtrs , Highly Priced per Amenities Provided.
The Leonardo is a smashing little hotel just outside the city walls. The rooms are very clean, functionable and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. Its a 5 minute walk from the train station and is sign posted off the main street. The area it's in is pretty mundane bit don't let that get in the way of choosing this hotel. We went because of the Christmas Market and found it to be perfect for our needs. If you are doing the market beware the prices are daft for the stuff on sale so it's more of a nice visiting experience rather than a buying mission. You can do Nuremburg in a day so a two night stay is sufficient. Lovely little emclaved city and nice people
Rooms were clean and of a good size, small bathroom but again very clean. Great internet and fabulous breakfast but in a terrible location. There is no where near to pick up snacks or to eat at night. The surrounding streets are all dirty or construction zones and closest entry to the old town through the wall was through the red light district. Very disappointing when all aspects of the hotel were good.
We booked this hotel back in February, for a 3 day visit in December. The booking was 'pay on arrival'. Yesterday I received an email stating that my card details were incorrect and to update these, this was due to an expired card, I did therefore update my card details but also contact the hotel to enquire as to why the payment had been attempted to be took when the reservation cleary stated to pay at the property. I received an email back from the hotel stating that we can still pay on arrival and everything was fine. This morning I woke up to an email saying that the booking had been CANCELLED. Due to the fact that our trip to the hotel is merely 8 days away, I contacted the hotel immediately, I spoke to a very rude lady who was a receptionist for the Leonardo chain who then put me through to the Nuremburg hotel. The gentleman there said that if booking.com cancelled them they would re-instate the booking. I contacted booking.com who rang them whilst I was on hold and told them they could not do this. I then rang the hotel again myself as I was obviously very upset that they had cancelled this when I am staying in such a short time and wanted to advise I could pay for the hotel over the phone if they re-instated the booking. The lady for the chain was again very rude, and initially refused to put me through to the hotel because booking.com had already rang, eventually she did and the man said that she never put booking.com through to him. Again, I rang booking.com and asked them if they could try again and speak to the gentleman rather than the obnoxious lady, they did and were very helpful but the man then advised they couldn't re-instate the booking, I could make a new booking at an increased price. This is clearly a scam as I have THREE confirmation emails confirming that payment would ONLY be taken on arrival, however they cancelled my booking 8 days before travelling for no reason. I would not advise to book here - I have re-booked my stay with another hotel who will guarantee my booking and not cancel it last minute for a Christmas trip away. Terrible customer service and clearly just trying to rip people off!!!!!!!!!!
Upon arrival after a long journey, we were greeted by the receptionist. We had two rooms booked, one room for 2 adults and a baby which was a twin room, and one room for 3 adults, which we were advised by our booking provider was a "triple superior room". When arriving at said "superior room", there were 2 twin beds, and a small sofa bed. This was not what was advised or booked, but what was appalling was that it was not pulled out, or made, or even any linens provided!! We went back down to the receptionist and explained that this was the case, to be told "I will get you a sheet". Never once offered to have the bed made etc, there was not 3 towels or mugs, it was clearly a room for 2 people. On to the second room.... Upon arrival to the second room, we found that a cot was not provided, even though it was stated on the booking, so again, we visited the receptionist, and asked for the cot, which he did bring up to our room, and therefore left the reception area (this point will become clear later on...) Also, the second room, or the twin room (room 303), we tried to use our safe deposit box, but this was not working. We asked reception if they could fix this, and was told they would. When arriving back at the hotel, we found it still did not work, so we asked reception again, and they said that it will not be working for the duration of our stay, and we could leave our valuables downstairs with them. Our stay was for Thursday to Monday.... and out of 4 nights, we were only able to access the "24 hour bar" twice... it was so tiny, that one group of people would take all of the seating and not leave enough room for anybody else to get a refreshment. We asked if we could sit in the adjoining "restaurant", but was told we were not allowed as it was "ready for breakfast the next day". Saturday - as we couldn't access the bar, we asked for water for our room, but there was not any in the bar, and so the receptionist LEFT HER POST, to get some water from the stock downstairs, for us to purchase. On our last night (tonight - Sunday 10th Dec) we managed to get seating in the bar. Hooray!!! We had 3 rounds of drinks and was enjoying chatting and being able to have refreshments... when asking the receptionist if it was possible to purchase another round (only 3 beers and a bottle of water) we were told that they didn't have any more beers in the bar, and that there were more downstairs, but that she "COULDN'T LEAVE HER POST". We found her manner very condiscending, explaining she couldn't leave, even though her colleagues were helpful on Saturday, and we were told by the receptionist that there was a bar at the end of the street (CLOSED) and a Casino opposite (ALSO CLOSED). Even the fact that the hotel could have made a few more euros for the stock they were holding downstairs is beyond me. We found that what should have been a lovely family trip and catch up, was marred by our experiences with this hotel, and their customer service. Everything we asked them was not done, or fixed, and do not feel it was a pleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel, purely because of the customer service.
