Look, the ritz it ain't. But if you're looking for an inexpensive, comfortable place to lie your head, a mirror to check your face and a simple enough shower, and you don't need to be coddled or pampered, look no further than Hotel Texas. We're locals, and could easily stay there again. However, both of us agree that more than one night might be pushing it; 2 max (partly for the hotel, mostly because it's the stockyards). It's a block away from main street and at least one bar directly north, south, east and west of the property. If nothing else, the lack of amenities will force you out and into everything the stockyards has to offer (still haven't figured out what that is; it's just cows and cowboys, people). In fact, I have more negative comments about cattleman's and H3. I've had better steaks AND I didn't have to endure all the hokey kitsch. And a shout out to the guy at the front desk. Couldn't have been nicer or more hospitable.

Complete dump, great location though if you don’t mind all the noise all night.

Horrible.... Outdated Bed was falling apart, ceiling fan had one light barely attached Carpet was filthy

Didn’t even spend the night, walked into the room and walked out 5 mins later. Got a diff hotel and going to call orbitz to make sure I was refunded

Place was falling apart. The fire exit landed on the trash dumpster. The emergency exit lights all broken and falling off the wall. Fan only had three of the four blades. Toilet seat was broken. No globe on fan. Buttons on the 1954 tv broken and not possible to change channel or volume. Advertised free breakfast was not provided or available at all

People fighting all hours of the night I would sleep on the street before going back there.

Only bad thing was could not control temperature in room

Nice little hotel within walking distance of all fortworth stockyards attractions. Very clean, comfortable.

The guy at working the desk most of the time didn't have any knowledge of the surrounding area of the hotel whatsoever!

The hotel is in the center of many attractions. It is within walking distance of Billy Bobs, Coopers BBQ, and the Stockyards. There is a four car parking lot, so get there early or pay 5 dollars to park half a block away. If you are into staying up till 5 am because of the drunks walkingup and down the street howling at the moon then this is the place to stay. Wifi whats that? We could not get a connection at all, so if you depend on the internet find somewhere else to stay. Recommend Motel 6 about 5 miles away.

Stayed here due to vacinity to Billy Bob's Texas. That is the only good thing I can say about my experience at this hotel. The room and bathroom was very small. The shower head was leaking and sprayed over the shower curtain and all over the bothroom. The staff was rude and understood little English. The mattress was too hard and uncomfortable for my girlfriend who usually enjoys a firm mattress.
