Arrived at Sea Oats Condominiums Fort Walton Beach on the evening of 1/1/24 for a stay of the month of January. Entering, the unit was clean and presented well, but disappointment soon followed. Of the four TVs, LR and one in each of the three BRs, the only one that worked was the LR, and that was only by ROKU. Also, no Wi-Fi access. Contacted RealJoy the next morning, Jan. 2, and reported the TV and internet problems. ‘Profusely apologize’. They sent a tech employee to check things out but could not fix. The next day, Jan.3, another employee came for a look but still could not fix. On Jan. 4, another employee, same result. He said it was COX Cable provider problem and that COX had been contacted and a tech. would come by the next day, Jan. 5, to repair TV/Wi-FI cables and rectify any problems. Later, another employee brought in a temporary wi-fi ‘hot spot’ box so we would at least have some semblance of internet access. Jan. 5, COX never showed up. I called RealJoy and was told that any issue having to do with COX was handled through the Sea Oats HOA and that RealJoy had no control over that, that COX would come out sometime but they didn’t know when. RealJoy would contact me if they heard back from COX, wish they could do more but they had no control. TVs & wi-fi service finally restored Jan. 16, 16 days after our arrival. Not enough space allowed for the full review.
