Hello to all who need to read before cautiously experiencing for themselves this review is for you. I have stayed at this Super 8 a few years back and was pleasantly encouraged to see a tremendous improvement from that time. All staff were friendly and very helpful, room was clean and the food was good, the staff even found me a quick ride to the hospital after I had a wipe out on my bicycle during my morning ride when I got back to the Hotel. If there is one thing I could suggest needs improving is the coffee, it could be a bit better. Sincerely Big House

Great hotel to stay at in Fort St. John staff has always been very helpful and friendly every time I have stayed there. Walking distance to a number of restaurants and shopping

We have been staying at this Super 8 in Fort St John since they first opened their doors. We have always had a good clean room and service. Not this trip. When we arrived to check in there were people out front of the lobby smoking and drinking beer. We went up to the counter and waited a minute, the clerk then came in from outside reeking if cigarette smoke. We checked in. We got a room with 3 beds and an assigned parking spot for that specific room. When we went to park there was a Pick up in our assigned spot. We went back to the front desk with the license plate number and asked the clerk to notify the owner to please move. You do pay more for this room with parking directly outside the room. The clerk said she would look after this situation. We entered our room and my first thought was is this room clean? The beds were all lumpy. I pulled the sheets back and yes they were clean. Just no care or attention taken in making the room presentable. The toilet bowl was dirty with a black ring and black stuff coming down the inside bowl. There was no hook behind the bathroom door to hang anything on. Some of the towels were stained and some were very worn and thin. I asked the front reception the next day to clean the toilet. It was never cleaned. They informed me that's if was probably glue they used to secure to toilet that had stained it. I don't care. I want a clean bathroom. I was also informed by the front desk they had some new cleaning staff and they were not doing a great job. Not my problem. Parking wasn't resolved for two days. We were told to park in another spot as that room was empty. The family that reserved that room wanted that parking spot also got the run around until they insisted the truck that didn't belong in our parking spot be moved. Finally the front reception listened. The truck moved and we got our parking spot. The breakfast was still pretty decent. The work out room was consistent as always. They need to put disinfectant in there to wipe down equipment after use. They have a water dispenser in there but no glasses. I really doubt we will be back to the Super 8. There are many more options for rooms in Fort St John now. Hopefully cleaner than what we experienced.

great place o come back to after a days work clean quiet warm or cool your choice good breakfast friendly service with good value

We were in Ft. St. John for a lacrosse provincial championship. The room we booked was perfect with us 2 rooms 1 1/2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Being part of the coaches family you have to understand your room is sometimes grand central. Extra children is not unusual so having a full sized fridge on the ground floor ... pretty close to perfect. Staff were pretty good and often went out of their way for us. All in all pretty good choice for us.

Evening/Night lady was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. But the morning gentleman was very not socialable at all. Didn't say a word to us. Didn't ask how our stay was or nothing, just said bye. Elevators always had dried mud on the floor. Would not stay there again for the price we paid

I really like the Super 8 Motels in Canada. For the most part they are clean, courteous, and well appointed. When you travel for extended period during the summer it is important that you are well slept for the ability to drive the next day.

I found the hotel adequate for a night's stay but nothing special. The room was comfortable, but could have been cleaner. It would be nice to see some more varied breakfast options including healthier options (there were eggs and make your own waffles, but most options were wheat options). On a future visit, I think I would prefer to try out another place.

The hotel room was neat, clean and quiet. It was quite hot when we got there so walking in to the room was stuffy, it would have been nice to have the cool air turned on so it didn't smell and feel stuffy. The "hot breakfast" wasn't really what I was expecting. The sausage did not look appetizing at all.

The staff were fast and courteous and the room was clean and comfortable. What more could one expect or want? My only small quibble about the place was that in the past when I have stayed here, the breakfast area had 'real' plates, mugs and cutlery; now they use disposable foam plates and cups, and plastic utensils. In today's environmentally sensitive culture, I think this is a mistake. I felt bad having to create so much foam garbage for my week-long stay.
