My stay was pleasant overall. The hotel was clean, quiet, and conveniently located with easy access to both New Jersey and the city. As a real estate professional of 25 years, I tend to notice things most people wouldn’t.
I observed that the shower door consistently rolled to one side, which may indicate a sloping floor. I also noticed the curtains formed an isosceles-like angle away from the wall, suggesting a similar tilt in the structure. Additionally, in the elevator area near the garages, there were visible cracks in some of the poured-concrete supports.
I’m not sure what’s going on with the building, but these signs gave me pause. I would recommend having an independent third-party structural engineer—not just a local building inspector—evaluate the property to ensure everything is sound.
Just my two cents. I wouldn’t want anyone to be at risk if there are underlying structural issues.
