The staff at AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale was amazing and the Oceanside room was perfect for us. Everything was clean and they helped whenever we needed it. However, the $30 daily food credit wasn’t clearly explained. It’s per room, not per person, and we weren’t told about the limits or how quickly extra charges would add up. I never asked to have the fees waived and probably should have, but the whole situation left a sour note. Honestly, why bother giving a credit when the fees end up being greater than the benefits? I hope they reach out because offering a $30 credit while charging a $30-plus destination or restaurant fee is disappointing. This might be our first and last stay with Marriott.

Nice Views ! But Watchout for Surcharges !

We had a pleasant stay at the AC Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach. I'm giving it a 4 out of 5 stars due to a couple of unexpected charges that felt more like resort fees. Specifically, the incidental hold on my credit card was $100 per day, rather than a single charge for the entire trip. The hotel is in overall good condition, generally clean, and the location is unbeatable if you like the beach. There was construction on a huge building next door but with the sliding glass door shut I slept just fine. The housekeeping could be improved. I called down the second day around 1:00 and nobody ever came. I had to call again to get new towels. Finally, they came on day four and they missed several things. They changed the sheets, but not the pillow cases. They did not put any new water bottles in the fridge. They only gave us one small wash rag for two people. Generally, the staff were helpful, although the bar staff both at the pool and downstairs did not go out of their way to help you - they seemed not so excited to have to help you. Probably because gratuity was automatically included. The food we ordered at the pool was good. One huge compliment - we arrived around noon from the airport and our room was ready. That was amazing!

Hotel was very comfortable. Location is a perfect to walk everywhere. Staff and service is great. We had a gewat stay and will definitely will be back again.
