I will attempt to be kind…. This is not a very good hotel. We had a 4 night stay planned. We only stayed one night; and then moved to a different hotel. To be fair, the room was pretty clean. But the smoke detector was was missing, a lamp shade was broken, the AC didn’t work great. And inside the hotel was just bad. The hallways looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in months. Trash laying around both inside and out. It just seems like a really junky place to stay. We moved to another hotel in similar price range that was MUCH better! We were pleased with other hotel, so we are not just bitter about this hotel

The property is is older and in need of updating. I was upset that the pool and hot tub were not available. Not only that, but not mentioned by the desk staff or mentioned on the website either. This is the second time this has happened, really just need to call all properties before going I guess. Honesty, upfront would be nice.

They are trying to update, however, it’s almost impossible. Should be condemned and start all over. Very scary surrounding, shady part of town, feels unsafe.

Overall it was a good value for the price, but the common areas were very dirty and worn.

This hotel is rundown. Outside doors dont work and there was never anyone around to help. The hottub was dirty and the bottom was covered in rocks from the stone flooring that has become dilapidated. It is in a very unsafe area.

People in the halls all night talking, Room next door blaring music all night until 230am

I had found bed bugs in the bed. Was moved to a different room n the toilet ran all night. I will never stay at another Quality Inn Property.

Nice for the price, older hotel but nicely refurbished. Fast check in but waited several minutes at the front desk for checkout no one around left room cards on counter.

I like to stay in Fort Dodge Friday nights before morning football games in Ames. I usually leave after work in Sioux Falls at 5, giving me the opportunity to drive in daylight and get there at 8. The location at 169 and 20 is perfect for easy access. I can then leave at 8 after breakfast and be at the game in plenty of time for 11 o'clock kickoff. During the stay, one of the staff, Sydney, went out of her way to help me get into my room after I had locked myself out, while she was working the breakfast room and the front desk staff was already occupied. I'm thankful to her, as I was in a big hurry.

easy in and out of the motel highway and into town really nice breakfast

I booked this motel for one night. I was to have 2 queen beds ended up with 1 king. they said there was no request for 2 beds, and the the couldn't or wouldn't give us another room. the refrigerator didn't get very cold, just chilled our soda. I even turned in all the way up. I asked for some kind of reinbursment for this mix up, they said they couldn't. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER! !!

The staff was very friendly and it was nice having an area to take the dog (not a regular part of our trips). The water temp in the shower was not real stable and there was debris that had been swept under the beds, but the halls, pool room and breakfast were great.

I enjoyed all of my stay. It was comfortable, clean and convenient for my family.

Friendly staff let me check in several hours early. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. I would stay there again.

Check-in was easy, staff very personable. Room and bed were very comfortable. Television channel selection was encompassing with all the sports and news cable channels available. Morning breakfast was as good as Perkin's, excellent with eggs and bacon/sausage available.

we booked a total of 5 rooms for 7 days... one family left early due to room. our room was "straightened" daily, though sheets were not changed but 3 times in 7 day stay. the "continental" breakfast was cereal/bread/yogurt/coffee...no fresh fruit, etc. wallpaper was peeling in every hall/rooms...no fresh soap daily...drains in tub and sink were totally plugged...although we asked about the problems we were told" we are doing a million dollar renovation soon". room keys had to be changed every 2 days because their machine" did not work right"... "no dogs" allowed in eating area did not apply to the owners as their dog roamed the eating and hotel area unleashed, constantly.i cannot express the poor condition that we paid over $500.00 for....when our friends stayed at AMERICANINN down the street for $5.00 a day more and had great rooms/breakfast and service. am sure have forgotten something, but am still angry and will never stay there again...and will pass the word to rest of family.another note..."no smoking" is not enforced at this location. other people smoked wherever they wanted...rooms( ours was to be non smoking... and it had smokers in it previously)...smoking in hallways and in pool area
