Room was ready early, Comfortable, good breakfast Everything worked, and in good Repair, professional staff. All good.

We had a few minor changes that needed to be done before our stay and the staff was more than willing to work with us to meet out needs. Great hotel!

The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and it made getting on the road easy (no breakfast stop necessary). I was particularly pleased that they had a little pub that stayed open late. It was nice to have a glass of wine and unwind after a full day of activities.

It was a great weekend with great friends and family. The hotel let our group take over...and it was so,much fun.

didn't have any complaints. Clean, well appointed, nice staff.

Hot beverages in the lobby, 24 hour beer & wine bar, free breakfast. Waffles were decent, eggs tasted like an add water mix, muffins good, yogurt, granola bars and more. The refrigerator kept me up for hours, finally unplugged it (incessant ticking). Our room had 2 double beds or 2 very small queens, not exceptionally comfortable but not horrible either. The room wasn't dirty but the bathroom didn't feel clean. It seemed like someone wiped it down with a towel and cleaner real quick. Heavy streaking on toilet seat, felt sticky. The walls are thin, you can hear others walking around. The lobby is cozy. The staff wasn't rude but not overly friendly either. Overall it is an average hotel. I would probably stay there again. Ninety a night seems high for the area and the room though.

hot tub was colder than the pool. exercise was a closet, which was smaller than advertised. only one treadmill working

It was a great room we had staff was great breakfast was wonderfull I loved everything there and we will only stay at the same hotel

I knew it would be late and arrived just before midnight. The on duty front desk person came out from the back and was cheerful and helpful. Good service never goes out of style! The room was clean and it was quiet. That's all I needed.

We stayed this hotel for one night for this year's IA States' Math Bee competition. Upon checking in we found out the hotel's system did not have our reservation through Ortbiz.com despite a confirmed hotel reservation number. I was very concerned because of all the local hotels were completely booked for the night. After some wait while the front desk rep was talking to her supervisor, she asked my reservation email again and gave us the last room, a suite for the night, and she charged me the same discounted rate I booked online and pleasantly surprised with the offer. The hotel has a good size pool and a decent breakfast for the kids. I definitely recommend this hotel to others who needs a good night stay while being in this part of the area.

Very clean. Great staff. Very good breakfast. Had a snow storm and they firnished and free complimentary meal.

OK, that's not saying much, but still... The room was clean and comfortable, the continental breakfast is decent and the pool is very nice.

Staff is friendly but the rest of the hotel is mediocre or, in the case of the location, just plain bad. It is on the outskirts of town as you enter Fort Dodge and no shopping or other facilities (save for the Cellar Restaurant) are nearby. My impression was that it was geared more to business travelers than those on leisure.

My wife and I recently stayed at the AmericInn in Fort Dodge and had a very nice stay. Room was nice, clean and in an easy to get to location, being close to the elevator. The small bar next to the front desk was a hoot (60's decor) and with buy one-get one free, a nice surprise. (Don't know if this is an everyday thing or if it was just because there were so many reunion folks staying there). The staff were excellent - very nice and friendly. Next time we visit Fort Dodge we will definitely stay at AmericInn!

We came up to see some family and booked this hotel for its low price. The room was spotless with no stains. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpfull. They have a complimentrary breakfast with hot food that was great. Our only complaint would be that our key did not work in the end door.

The TV would not turn on , which they were aware of, our room did not get cleaned while we were away, so we had to ask for more towels. I got over charged for my room, it was different than what I reserved it for. But overall, the staff was exceptionally friendly, which can make all the difference...and did! Thanks

Hotel service very good. Quiet atmosphere and located well.

Back home for Class reunion. Nice lobby area to visit in. Very comfortable beds.

Great staff, clean rooms, all around good experience. wish they put a safe in each room.

I asked for a non-smoking room and it was confirmed by the hotel. When I arrived they gave me a very dirty smelly smoking room. I asked for another room and they said that they would try to get me into another room. While I was waiting a young woman came in without a reservation and was given a non smoking room. I slept that night with the window open and the door to the hallway open just to create a draft of fresh air. I have never spent a night in such filth. The coffee maker still had grounds from the previous guest. The bath tub was dirty. When I turned down the bed the sheets were stained. I reported all of this and then second night I had a spotless room that was not smoking. I will never stay there again. I think the problem was management and supervision. I think there was no quality control. The complimentary breakfast was very low quality. I am a celiac and cannot eat grains. I could have coffee but they ran out and I did have a glass of orange juice. The hard boiled eggs were frozen solid.
