Close to town and restaurants, however, after having an excellent breakfast here will try their dinner one night! Parking was a bit of a 'mare but I arrived at 10 pm after a 5 hour drive, so was a little grumpy. Super comfortable bed and woken by Boot Camp at 6 but drifted off to sleep again, happy that I gloat under a warm duvet.

We only stayed one night before taking early Eurotunnel the next day and would certainly do so again. Excellent location, friendly helpful staff ensuring we had a room close to the lift for my disabled husband, and we found a parking space right outside. We took the dinner package and had an exceptionally good meal at a bargain price. The scallop starter was perfectly cooked and interestingly presented. Congratulations to all the staff for running such a good hotel.

This truly is a great hotel!! Quiet location, sea view, fantastic staff, excellent food, lovely rooms, well equipped, great shower, very comfortable and clean, 15 mins from Eurotunnel - it really is that unicorn of the hotel world that is the perfect place to stay! I'll definitely be back and would have no hesitation in recommending!

Spent the weekend at this delightful hotel. From the warm welcome given to us by Robert on arrival Saturday right through to leaving on Sunday the whole experience was fabulous. The room was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable.Beautifully decorated as was the whole hotel. We ate in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night ,taking advantage of the special deal for hotel guests. The food was delicious and very well presented. Enjoyed one of the best cheeseboards I have had.Philip was very friendly and helpful regarding menu choices, despite being busy he made time to have a chat and tell us about the hotel. Stylish bar area with a good selection of drinks and cocktails.Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and professional, all a credit to the hotel. One negative for me was that there was no cold choice at breakfast such as ham, cheeses or boiled eggs. No fruit compote for yoghurts or cereal ,also only everyday sliced bread available It would be nice to have some crusty bread or rolls available .My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich which was the same uninspiring bread. This is not a complaint just an observation as the hot breakfast was excellent, good quality and there was plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to The View again

Firstly the service was excellent, every encounter we had with a member of the team was warm, friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and stylish throughout and our room was also very clean but there was a few issues, firstly it was incredibly warm in the room, despite the radiator being off, the windows wide open, the fan being switched on all night and it being a cold and rainy night in October. Why is so hot? maybe because its on the 3rd floor and all the heat from the hotel rises to the upper floors, don't know but trust me it was too warm. Also the room did smell slightly damp throughout our stay and there was a trip hazard into the en suite. That said we do want to come back as the location is great and who knows another room may be better.

From check in to check out our experience was very satisfying. Great hotel, clean rooms and impressive views. My son loved the buffet breakfast. We loved our stay we will be back next time we visit England.

My brother and I took our 83 year old mother back to Folkestone after 40 years away. Our rooms (4th floor with sea view) were all easily accessible with the lift. The rooms were very clean, with super en suites and facilities. The rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was excellent, the restaurant and bar area super and all of the staff were so friendly. We were able to walk from here along the prom and into Folkestone which is undergoing a super regeneration - we all had a great time. Hotel fab!

Arrived at aroumd 8.15pm. Parking wasn't a problem. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. All members of staff were 1st class. All food we had was excellent. The only thing we didn't like were the two old men with prostitues, in the restaurant. They were loud and rude. I don't expect to have to watch prostitues parading their wares whilst dining with my husband and parents who are both in their seventies. Unfortunately they were sat in the same part of the restaurant as us. I know this isn't the fault of the hotel, they were not even hotel guests, just diners. A little more care when seating diners could have avoided an uncomfortable situation for us. That said this hotel was so good I have still rated it the 5 stars it deserves.

Really nice hotel in great location on the Leas . Rooms are clean and modern and bar and public space really nice -nice tapas in the bar too. Parking is never easy but usually possible if you persevere!! Staff very helpful and friendly.

We stayed over night with a late arrival. Good location, great view from the sea-facing room we had (#311), a pinch of salt as the Restaurant was closed upon arrival and we stayed hungry minus a bag of crisps and a (good) beer. The breakfast area was rather crowed in the morning and led to a queue at the coffee machine, which dispensed painstakingly slow and made the wait for a cup of coffee a timely affair. Service, cleanliness and value for money is good, we would stay there again.
