This hotel was in a great location (a 10 - 15 minute walk along the beach to the Harbour Arm) and was a delight all round. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was a real highlight.

Friendly staff, well appointed rooms, air conditioning an absolute Godsend, breakfast at the top of its game in terms of variety and quality, nothing I would add or subtract, do yourself a favour if you come to Folkestone don’t waste time looking at other hotels book The Clifton (I have not been paid to say that but comes from a personal enjoyable stay).

Great location very close to the seafront (we could see the sea from our room) and slightly away from noisier/busier part of Folkestone. 10-min walk to train station. Comfortable bed and very good bathroom. Very good breakfast (although bread quality could be improved). Overall a great stay - would not hesitate to stay again when visiting Folkestone again.

Excellent hotel slightly let down by the bathroom. Overall very nice- great decor, comfy beds, A/c, excellent pillows. But the bathroom radiator couldn’t be turned off even though it was 30 degrees outside, there was nowhere to put anything down (no shelf etc) and the shower water was hard to get to maintain a good temperature. I’d still stay there again though. It really was very nice.
