I couldn't have chosen a better hotel in Florence. Relais Santa Croce spells utmost luxury right from the moment you enter the hotel. After a very warm welcome with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, I was escorted to my room which was very spacious and features excellent, fine furnishings. There was a personal welcome note from the hotel manager which accompanied a cake and welcome fruit platter and sweets. The bathroom has sauna in the shower, which was kind of complicated, but nothing a call to the front desk can't fix. I asked the front desk for the best places to visit and dine in, and was given great recommendations, all within walking distance from the hotel, which is centrally located, with quiet streets surrounding it. Walking around Florence is enjoyable with the nice surprises that await at each turn. Just make sure you have the most comfortable footwear. Breakfast had top-quality selection, especially their breads. Coffee was excellent too! I stayed during a cold month so the fireplace at the Music Room, lit in the afternoons, was perfect. There was also live piano music which provided for the most luxurious tea time. I will stay again in this hotel when I revisit Florence.
An exclusive and luxurious hotel nearby Santa Croce in Florence. The hotel atmosphere it’s very warm and you truly feel at home while staying. The tea room is just magnificent. What brings the hotel to top level tough, I think it’s the service. All the staff have been remarkably kind and always available to satisfy our needs. This is what 5 stars it’s for and Baglioni carries out this task at the best level. The only thing about the structure to say in order to be honest, is the quality of the rooms that are a bit old, but I know the hotel it’s going to be re furnished soon. I hope to be able to stay again at Relais Santa Croce as soon as possible. Wonderful service and position. PS: for those who are interested in this type of restaurants, the 3 star awarded Enoteca Pinchiorri is just under the stairs. RECOMMENDED, high class.
The Relais Santa Croce was in a great location in Florence just a short walk to many of the top places to visit in the city. The staff was extremely helpful and happily recommended things to do, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel was previously a small palace and although our room was modern, they kept some of the history of the hotel in the public spaces. A great combination of new and old. Highly recommended.
The Santa Croce is a beautiful high end hotel located in a quiet street near the centre of Florence. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated and well equipped and the hotel's public rooms are stunning - particularly the music room. The restaurant isn't great but there are plenty of good ones in the vicinity so eat out. Breakfast is excellent. There is secure valet parking but it isn't cheap - €60 per night.
Great hotel, incredible building, decoration and rooms. The staff is amazing, very helpful and nice. The location of the hotel is very good at 1 minute walk from Santa Croce plaza and 10minutes walk to The Domo. The hotel executive room is spacious and comfortable. The lounges at the hotel are very well decorated.highly recommended it is really a great experience.
Excellent service! Impressive suite. Very nice building at the heart of the city. We loved the beds, the room amenities and the high standard of service. We also appreciated the free room upgrade. Also very nice priced.
I was astounded by the hotel but as much about the manner in which this hotel treats its guests. We were made to feel so welcome and nothing was too much. The check in and check out process is really well managed and very personal. We needed to book a few excursions and it was dealt with quickly and very efficient. The breakfast was continental style but suited us perfectly but you could have ordered anything you wanted. The staff were all very polite, I would highly recommend this hotel, great location, easy to walk around the city and lots of lovely restaurants within easy walking distance as were all the key sights in the city. Room we had was quiet and simple and understated but really high class. Would without a doubt stay again when next in Florence.
We stayed 3 nights, and the staff did everything in their power to make our stay comfortable. When we complained about the power to the outlets going off when we removed the key card, an extra card was provided. An extra chair was provided at our request. We got advice from them about all sorts of things, even where to get a bus pass-I don't think any of their patrons had ever asked about that before. Clearly the key to this place is, if you have a problem, ask for help! The one problem they couldn't help with was that our room had the closet and luggage space much higher than the rest. This was inconvenient, and the curved stairs leading up had no rail, which was dangerous.
We liked everything about this hotel. The location was close enough to everything but not congested or noisy. The hotel staff really added to the experience. The doorman greated us by name upon arrival and check in was personalized versus standing in a long line. We had a jr Suite with a terrance which gave us plenty of room and a nice place for a glass of wine in the evenings. I would stay here again.
This hotel was the second stop for me and my husband's Italian honeymoon. I'm so glad we chose this hotel as it was so lovely, chic and beautiful. The location in Florence is convenient, it's on a quiet street but still within walking distance to Santa Croce Church, the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery and across the river to Piazza Michaelangelo. It also houses Enoteca Pinchiorri - which is a 3 star Michelin restaurant. This was easy since we had a reservation the second night and were able to get back to our hotel quite easily. Room: SO cute and chic - yellow painted walls with black wooden panels/trim. The room was spacious and had a balcony where we could see the church. There was a bench by the bed so we could put our luggage, as well as a dressing area for additional luggage and full length mirrors. To the side of the bed was a desk area for my husband to set up his work area. Service: Amazing. They had welcome pastries for us, notating that this was our honeymoon as well as a personalized greeting card. Our hotel rate included the breakfast buffet which was delicious. The servers were always friendly and helpful. If we are ever in Florence again, we would stay here in a heartbeat. Thank you again Relais Santa Croce!
